ADR System Upgrade - History

I can't tell you for certai, but from what I am hearing it is getting to be almost impossible to secure a booking at CRT, Le Cellier, Ohana, etc or the more popular restaurants, esp during free dining. Good luck tom, let us know how you do

What time does the Dining reservations open eastern time?

Hey my ADR booking window starts tomorrow we cant make the reservations till like 4Pm will

Ohanas , Le Cellier and crystal palace likely to be sold out

What time does the Dining reservations open eastern time?

Opens at 7am EST. I called right at 7am this morning, got right through, and got Le Cellier for lunch but couldn't get 'Ohana for any evening of our 6 days at any time. I even tried for 2 or 4 people and called back several times with no luck. I'll try each morning. I did see threads on TGM and here with results the past few days and it's looking like more people are getting LC than 'Ohana dinner. Oh, I did get CP and I don't think that's a huge problem unless you want it right at park opening. I got the lunch time I wanted with no problem and it was one of the last ones I asked for (it was my backup for 'Ohana).

I know I should know the answer to this ? since we have went to Disney during free dinning many times but for some reason with the 90 day change I just forget.......

If were going on 9/19-9/27 and I type in my 90 on the disney "calculator" I get that I can make my ressies on June 21st now my ? is can I make all my ressies then or no since that is only 90 days from the 1st day we leave not the other days were there?!

If you're staying on property, then on June 21st you can make all your reservations.

If you're not staying on property, then on June 21st you make reservations for September 19; on June 22, for September 20; on June 23, for September 21; and so on.

I browsed around and could not find the answer. Has Disney rolled out the online ADR system to anyone other than travel agents? If so, does anyone have the link?

No they haven't. Originally it was rumoured that they would be doing that this past Tuesday, but they are still having trouble with the new system.

It has gone down repeatedly the last few days. As of 10 minutes ago when I called, it was down again.

I think it will be a while before they iron out the kinks enough to allow it to go online.

Yup, I just called and it's down. I asked the cm if he thought maybe it was because they were putting the system online and he laughed.

Yes, but you don't have to be staying on property to make ADR's.

Okay, I just read back the last 20 pages or so, and I was wondering if anyone who booked through a TA has had them book their ADRs online since that came out, and what the result was, as far as being able to get what you want?

My TA did this past week for our stay and she didn't encounter any problems at all. She was able to get everything we wanted either at the time we wanted or very close to it.

So, at least for now there is an advantage to using a TA! I am so glad that I used one! Plus, can't they get in the system before the official phone opening at 7am? I am praying that it does not go public before my TA has to make my ADRs!

I agree completely with you! My TA said she has had a lot of success using the online system so far. She's planning to do mine for me while I'm on the phone with her (in case we need to change things around at all). She thinks we'll be able to get in a little early, and I am also hoping and praying that it doesn't go public before then!

Well, I guess we're at cross purposes. I'm now hoping online booking DOES go public by the time I book next month. I think it's rotten that some people are getting a head start.

Yes, and we DVC members don't have the option of using a TA, so I'm hoping it goes live asap, although without all the bugs it has had thus far!

Definately! Sounds like the reason so many are having problems getting any good ADRs recently are due to TAs gobbling them up before people phoning in can even talk to someone (with 30+ min wait times).

Really hope the online system is up and running before my ADR dates roll around, just so we can level the playing field!

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to make anyone angry or upset. If I had not used a TA, I would be angry right along with you. I was merely agreeing with the other poster who said what I was trying to say, that there does seem be an advantage to using a TA right now when it comes to ADRs. But given that anyone can use a TA for free, it's not like I, or anyone else whose TA makes their ADRs for them, did something wrong. (Edit:just saw the post about DVC members, sorry!)

I agree it's unfair for anyone to have a headstart-I was upset earlier this week when only some people were able to get ADRS at the 100 day mark, and would have been furious if that had gone into my ADR window. I will just hope for everyone to get what they want and for all of us to have great vacations.

I don't even know what to hope for... The dining system is crashing daily now without the additional load of general public use, so opening it up to the public could mean spending hours sitting here refreshing a page to see if it has recovered yet, but there are a couple of very popular ADRs I want to get for our trip and it is frustrating to read that I'm at a disadvantage because I don't book through a TA.

Disney really needs a better IT department.

I agree with you 100%. Disney needs to make sure things are smoothly working and give everyone the same advantage.
