ADR System Upgrade - History

Hi All!

I am one of the lucky people whose ADR window seems to be opening the day before their park hours are being released (or day of, we are going on May 1st, which makes 90 days Jan. 31st.) Anywho... so I have been trying to make my ADR plan and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how best to go about doing this. I'm West coast, so I will be getting up at 4am. Now here are my questions...

* Should I wait and see if the park hours are released that morning before calling, frantically plugging in all of our choices? (Did I mention we're doing the Deluxe Dining plan so its a lot of choices!? yikes!)

* Or should I make a plan based on last years' May hours and call with that the morning of the 31st and make changes once the hours are released?

* Or should I make my plan based on the April hours the week before, call with that plan and then make changes as needed once the hours are released?

I have CRT, CM, and V&A booked already and are hoping I will not have to try and switch them around. I am most concerned about places like Le Cellier not knowing which will be our Epcot days yet.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! :goodvibes

Same boat here - May 1, just the regular plan, though. I have used Touring plans best days (sorta) and the last week in April, too to try to make a plan. I was too hesitant to use last May since so much has changed with the economy and everything. Most of ours are set - CM, CRT and T-Rex booked and I know we want Kona for our arrival day, LeCellier our last night. My others are somewhat up in the air - Ohana, Tutto Italia, Crystal Palace. Mostly based on when Fantasmic is!

Going to WDW May 4th, making ADR's Feb 3rd. No dining plan for us. We are just hoping the May hours are up by then. If not, no big deal. We have a plan and are making the ADR's based on that. We have certain parks and restaurants we want to do on certain days. :goodvibes

That's the question, isn't it? I'm in the same boat for June, I think. I might just wait for the park hours, except for LeCellier. ADR's go quickly for that one, and since we are staying at BWV, we will be close by no matter what.

I just got the 2009 planning DVD yesterday. It says to book your ADRs at 180 days out. I know that the new time is 90 days or 90+10 for resort guests. I find it funny that they can't get it straight even in there "new" DVD.

The Dvd was recorded actually before the changes and did use some of the info and footage from the 2008 video.

Or our CRT and Chef Mickeys still at 180 days? Just trying to keep current on my info.

Thanks!!

Hi i'll be arriving in Disney on May 11, when I reserved our rooms last week, she said we can book reservations for dining on feb.14. Can you only book 3 months out now. The last time my friend went I know she was making ADRs 6 months in advance. Thanks

For resort guests, it's 90 days from resort check-in, and then you can book for up to 10 days beyond.

For non-resort guests, it's a straight 90 days.

Anyone having any luck making early reservations? We are 105 days out and have heard some others that got lucky and got to make reservations already for the same time.

Hello everyone,

I just called last night and was able to make a reservation for Chef Mickey. (our trip is May 16 - May 25). Is there anything else that you can still make reservations for 180 days out?

I am thinking Cinderella's Royal Table, Vic and Al's.

How about BBB?

Thanks!

nothing is 180 days...the ones you listed are making reservations through mid-June.

Anxiously awaiting May hours here....I'll be calling for the rest of our ADR's next Saturday morning!
