Hi! I'm trying to strategize for booking ADRs for an upcoming May 21-30 trip. We will be staying for 9 nights on site, so we can push harder-to-get reservations out later as needed. I'm curious about the actual experiences people are having right now with their ADR bookings. I can only see 60 days out, and pickings are slim. But what are you seeing in that 60+10 window? How far out are you seeing decent availability for hard-to-book restaurants?

Here's my current list of planned ADRs:
Day 1: Raglan Road
Day 2: Beaches & Cream (lunch) & Mama Melrose
Day 3: Yak & Yeti
Day 4: Space 220 (lunch) & Biergarten
Day 5: Ohana
Day 6: Sci-Fi & Oga's
Day 7: Artist Point
Day 8: Coral Reef
Day 9: Jungle Navigation (lunch) & Be Our Guest

We have a party of 6, but we can split into 4/2 or even 2/2/2 if that would help with availability. Has anyone had better success with that strategy on certain restaurants? Are there any I shouldn't even try to book with 6?

If you had difficulty with any restaurants not on my list, share that too! I'm sure there are others with the same question I'm having.

We just recently booked reservations for a 7 day trip and there were no ohana dinners even on the last day. The hardest on your list to get will be ohana, Olga’s, space 220, artist point, BOG and beaches and cream. You might have to plan some of those farther. But I feel with a 10 day window and if you are flexible, you should be able to get what you want.

Space 220 is the current CRT or BOG at their respective completely insane demand levels--virtually impossible to get unless you happen to try just as someone cancels. GOOD LUCK on that one! We tried at various times of day just about daily and never got it. Not sure we're sorry as it's getting somewhat mixed reviews.

Otherwise, I think Ams312's hardest list is spot on, although I'm a bit more doubtful you'll get them all.

You might really be in luck days 8,9,10

If I were you for your hardest adr’s you might want to consider booking last first.

Like space 220 day 10
Ohana day 9
Be our first day 8

greatest probability of landing the tough ones from what I can tell.

We have a split stay and was only able to book the first 6 days this morning and had no problems at all. I got space 220 for our 5th day first. Was refreshing and at 5:59 got 2 times to pop up. Grabbed it and it was gone 30 seconds later for lunch all together. (I know because my son was logged in on his account and was trying to grab a back up in case I got an error. ) we got yak and yeti easy with multiple times available day 3. Ohana was way good too. Didn’t book yet because we want it for last leg of trip because we are staying there. But wanted to see how hard it was going to be to get. I could have got it any day. Sci fi we wanted on day 2 so had to settle for a 11:25 lunch- that was all that was available so we grabbed it. Glad because again, nothing 5 minutes later. So I was quite shocked how easy it was because of the split stay. I had low expectations that I was going to even get space. But I did see that you have to be fast if you want it. I had the space page already pulled up with the date and time already selected and just kept refreshing. Somehow the dates were already highlighted but just wouldn’t check until 5:59

OP, I recently booked ADRs for 6. I was on early just in case, but restaurants didn't open until 6:00. I was able to get Space 220 lunch 60+4, Sci-Fi lunch 60+6 and Oga's 8pm 60+3. I did them in that order and then moved on to my less difficult selections. (I went back later and added a morning Oga's 60+6.... I think Oga's difficulty may depend on time of day.)

I don't have recent experience with the other restaurants on your list.

I used chrome and had tabs open for each restaurant ready to refresh and hit search.

We are a party of 6. Beaches and Cream was only available in 2 and 4. We got same time, just not all in one group. If you don't see something, try smaller groups. I have 3 reservations with 4 and 2. Same times, just no seating for 6.
Also check out the "What I learned with my ADRs this morning" thread. Lots of good tips, especially having multiple tabs open

I will add that I had chrome and safari opened and got an error on safari right away so I jumped to chrome and had no problems. Was having problems with safari when I booked my stay on DVC site too so not sure what’s up with that. I always have better luck with no errors on chrome so if you can use it.

Thank you for mentioning this - I was on Safari at 6am this morning pulling my hair out! I think that must have been why it was giving me a hard time!

Yeah after having multiple errors on DVC booking our September stay I switched over and went right through. So I opened both just in case and sure enough as soon as I clicked on the time I wanted this morning got the lady and the tramp error. Switched over to chrome and luckily it was still there since it was already open and ready and went right through on first try. I think I will just use that from now on from the start.

I agree with the others. I’d move space 220 later.
Artist point should be fine. I got that on on 60+6 during Easter week with plenty of times. Beaches and cream too. I had it for 60+3 and ended up cancelling but still got it

We were looking for similar ADRs- we got a lunch at BOG but did not get the Space 220 or Ohana

I had 60+9

we got:
60+1: Sanaa
60+2: Chef Arts Homecomin brunch
60+3: CRT (breakfast)
60+4: H&V (lunch)
60+5: BOG
60+6: Storybook Dining
60+7: Topolino’s
60+8: space 220

I had sci-fi for 60+9 but ended up cancelling.

Safari has issues with everything. not sure why people still use it.

Don't forget open table for Disney Springs -- Raglan road is on there and you can book earlier than the 60 day window.

We had 60+6 this morning and got everything we wanted—Oga’s, Space 220, and ‘Ohana, and more. Two couples, so we strategized in advance and went for the mentioned ressies first and it worked.

Ok - so i had a pretty good experience with my dining. Logged in 10 mins early. Had multilple tables open with each restaurant and at the chose time. First three days we plan to do universal so were only booking from 60+4. Here is how it went for me

60 + 4 - California Grill
60 + 5 - Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, CRT
60+ 6 - Chef Mickey, Sci Fi, T Rex
60 + 7 - Tusker House, Yak and Yeti, Story Book
60 + 8 - Topolino, Sci Fi, Sana
60 + 9 - Chef Mickey, Sci Fi, Ohana
60 + 10 - Chef Mickey, Beaches and cream

We got everything we wanted with no website error. So many chef mickey’s because we are staying at contemporary.

Hope this helps.
