ADR strategy advice appreciated

Oh no! I canceled my Liberty Tavern reservation too. I guess I’ll keep trying.

For what it is worth, I did this recently by mistake with a Beaches and Cream reservation (also very hard to get). I was quick on the draw on the app and chose 3 instead of four guests and it went through that way. I needed four, and it wouldn't let me modify. So, I took a chance and quickly cancelled this reservation and *immediately* went back in (before anyone else could snag it) and rebooked to four and it took it! I was amazed that it worked. You could try that.

Ditto to this. You can definitely get yourself some ADRs yet. So many people are cancelling their trips. And some more will cancel ADRs at the last minute as they change their mind about where to eat. The free alert services do not work for the hard to get ADRs/times. I am signed up for a total of 4 reservation watch services and have snagged all the hard to get ones for the week after Christmas. If you want a recommendation of which one I get the most alerts for, feel free to message me (it's very clear between the 4 which one is the best). You do have to respond fast. I usually respond within seconds and sometimes miss out because someone else was faster. Others last longer.

Great tips! I ended up snagging Oga's with a reservation finder. I had seen it briefly right after I booked our trip and wasn't seriously looking to book ADR's yet - and had kicked myself ever since for letting it go!

Now to see if I can do the same with Cali Grill... a long shot I know, but here's hoping. I will also check within 24 hours for cancellations and see what happens.

Keep checking for reservations as some become available due to people cancelling. I've seen other posts where they've utilized a reservation finder and the individual found a reservation but never received a notification (rare).

I've found some great reservations by chance on previous pre-COVID trips by frequent checking. For example, CRT for Christmas morning a few weeks out! A good time to check on available reservations is the day before while on your trip. A lot of people will cancel theirs 24 hrs out to avoid being charged.
