OK, our 180 days is coming up and I'm trying to decide what day where, etc. The problem is we have a large group going (between 9-12 people) and I don't know what to do about ADR's. Do I reserve for the 12 people and then change it later if they can't come, or do I reserve for 2 sets (4 and 8 say) and then adjust later. I was going to just reserve for the most and then change it if some people didn't show up, but then a thread I read talked about how you can't do that. I"m so Confused!!! The reason I don't know the exact number is that some of us are just vacationing, and some of us are going to play basketball at a tournament, so they might be able to come or might not depending on the schedule. And they don't release the schedule until the week before we go. Someone please help!!!!

Hi there. I had a similar thing but with a wedding reception. We have no idea how many people will be attending (like you could be 9-12) and I called Disney Dining to check.

One of the options was to book 2 tables and ask for them to be put together but there is no guarantee. You're right, they don't like you lowering the numbers but what would happen if you did? What would hapen if you turned up with 9 instead of 12? I'm sure they would still seat you as it would surely cause more problems to seat more than less.

Hope you manage to sort something :thumbsup2

Make the reservation for twelve people. You will more than likely be told that your party will be at separate table and you are not guaranteed to be seated together. You have a 99.999999999% chance of that not happening. So don't worry about that.

It's easier to go down in party size than it is to go up in party size. Disney assigns the reservations based on tables. Go for the largest group you think and then go down from there.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking, but then read somewhere where it couldn't be done.
