I hope I'm asking this in the right place. Is there usually a wait with your ADR? Traveling with 2 year old so just want to be prepared. If so whatis the normal wait? I know it can differ from place to place just want to get an idea. Thanks...

It depends. Most of the time, our wait is less than 10 minutes. However, we have had those occasions where we have waited up to an hour. Restaurants that we have consistently had long waits for are Crystal Palace and Coral Reef. Also, California Grill as it gets closer to fireworks time. Most other places, it may happen but not on a regular basis.

No this is not the place for ADR (Advanced Dining Ressies) booking. This is just a WDW restaurant forum. You can start booking your ressies approzimately 180 days out. You can either book online at the WDW website under dining or you call them directly.

As far as a wait, at a restaurant w. an ADR, no more than 10 minutes. Without an ADR, could be over an hour depending on the restaurants availablity, and time you are visiting, the could be nothing available. To be on the safe side, book ADR's.

:confused3 I don't get this post at all. OP was asking if this was the correct forum to post a question about wait times with an ADR. She is not trying to book an ADR here.

To the OP, I have read that O'hana has some long wait times, but I would say in general you would not wait more than 30 minutes unless it is a very crowded time of year.

It really is very different depending on where and when you go...I can tell you that in my own personal experience, it seems like there are longer waits at the character meals (especially the most popular ones like Chef Mickeys)...but I figure it's because people stay at their tables longer than at a non-character meal.

Sorry, read the post too fast and responded too quickly! MY BAD!:worship:

We had to wait as long as 30 minutes at 1900 Park Fare once, but most of the time our wait is less than 15 minutes.

That's okay... I thought I was losing it for a minute there. After reading your post, I had to reread the OP a few times to make sure I understood it right.:rotfl:

There can be..We waited well over an hour for our adr a few times..Most often during Free Dining periods and when our meals were later. For early mealtimes (like dinner at 445pm) we rarely waited

It really depends on a few factors...

- What time of year you are going?
- What restaurant it is?
- What time of day it is?

And then you can add in random factors you can not anticipate such as servers or cooks calling in sick, people staying at their table longer, and the like.

In our 2 trips, I have waited from 0 minutes (led right in) up to 45 minutes (Ohana).

There can be. Disney cautions that an ADR is not a reservation as the rest of the world knows it (doesn't mean you'll be sat at 6:30 if your reservation is at 6:30). It's just a guarantee that you will receive the next available table for your party size after you check-in for the ADR. Often times, the restaurants are behind in seating due to people loitering, meals taking long, etc.

When we were there in September, we didn't have much of a wait for our ADRs. The longest was at Rose & Crown - it took us 20 mins in like just to check-in to the ADR, and then another 25 mins to be seated. Our ADR was at 7:35 and we weren't sat until 8:25. But, we did expect them to be busy because of their popularity around Illuminations time.

During busy last week. we never waited more than 5-10 minutes but in the past we have waited a very long time at Ohana's and the sit down Mexican place (forgot the name). There is often a good place to let your little one explore or even run around a little bit while one parent stays close by with the pager.
