ADR Question?

I was wondering what everyone does with their ADRs. I am going in May and want to make a few ADR's. So far I have DS and myself on the reservation. I am probably going to add my DGF. So should I go ahead and make ressies for 3 and then say one of the party had to cancel (there is a small chance DGF won't go) or make ressies for 2 and play dumb when I get to the restaurant to check in? There is a chance that DGF will not go. What does everyone think? I want to cover all of my bases since it is a lot easier to get ADRs now as opposed to when I know for sure?

Thanks

You make it for more people .If you make it for less, there is no gurantee that they will have a table to accomodate a larger party size and they may or may not seat you.Make it for 3 and if need be cancel off the extra person.Be advised that if it is a restaurant that requests a credit card gurantee ahead of time, that you will need to cancel the extra person asap , or you may very well be charged a no show fee for that person.

I would try and make it for three. If not then go to your next plan & play dumb see what happens. It's a chance your taken.
