Okay, I have to make my ADRs in 2 days so I need to know some things...

-How early in the morning can I call?
-What restaurants book up the quickest of the ones I am planning? We are planning to do the following:
Liberty Tree Tavern dinner @ MK; Hollywood & Vine character breakfast at Studios; Ohana dinner @ Polynesian; Biergarten dinner @ Epcot; Boma dinner @ AKL; Crystal Palace dinner @ MK; Chef Mickey's breakfast @ Contemporary
-Any backup restaurants that are good on the dining plan with 2 little kids?
-For anyone who has booked through a travel agent instead of directly through Disney, what do I need in order to prove to them that I am staying on property and can book my entire trip's worth of dining in one call? Just my name?

Thanks,
Bonnie

I think you will be fine with all of your choices. I had no problems getting all of my ressies at the exact time that I need. You will have to start with the date that you are arriving. As long as it is 180 days out, anyone can make ressies so don't worry. You just have to tell them your name, confirmation number or phone number, date of arrival, and resort name. Good luck!

If you are calling at 180 days out, you shouldn't have a problem. The ones that will be more popular at the Chef Mickey's breakfast (VERY popular), Crystal Palace, Ohana's, Boma and Liberty Tree Tavern.

Hollywood and Vine breakfast should be fine.

The Biergarten is fun but not a problem getting what you want 180 days out.

If you have to have a backup plan, maybe Cape May for a character breakfast. But you should be fine. Probably 95% of the Disney guests don't even know you can make reservations 180 days out.

Are there other resort character breakfasts that have Mickey as one of the characters? That was what attracted us to Chef Mickey's. Which characters are at Cape May Cafe breakfast?

My kids are not into Lilo & Stitch so we wouldn't consider that one or 1900 Park Fare because they are boys and are not into the princesses. I klnow at Liberty Tree Tavern, it is Goofy and Minnie, at Crystal Palace Winnie the Pooh & Friends, Hollywood & Vine is Playhouse Disney. So I thought Chef Mickey's would be a great opportunity to meet Mickey Mouse since they love him. The idea is to do character meals with different characters at each of them so they get to see all their favorites.

The Garden Grille at Epcot has Mickey but not sure if they do all 3 meals with the characters. Also, you do not have to worry about calling Dis Dining at 7:00am. I always find it funny that people actually set their alarms for this :lmao: . You will be fine getting your choices no matter what time of day you call.

Garden Grille only has lunch and dinner, I looked it up. We really want to go to Biergarten in Epcot for dinner, and do not want to do a huge meal for lunch any of the days. Quick lunches will work better for us before returning to the room for a nap and cool air conditioning for the kids and for us. Biergarten has German food which we love, and entertainment is supposed to be very nice. If Garden Grille had breakfast we would have done that but it doesn't.

Okay, I will not stress too much over this. By the way is there a toll-free number for Disney Dining? I will be calling from my office before my work day starts (get there early), and can't dial long distance from the phone. If not I will use my cell phone.

I've never seen an 800 number listed anywhere so I doubt it. I usually call from my cell phone on the weekends when it's free :thumbsup2. By the way, I noticed we're doing all the same restaurants as you except for Biergarten. :) We're doing all dinners and 1 lunch though. We're not breakfast people and don't like to get up any earlier than we have to!
