I called this morning (180s out) for my ADR's and received Marakesh without a problem but then was told both House of Blues and Coral Reef do not work on the "180 +10" plan and that I'd have to call back on the exact 180th day. The lady also said she couldn't book Coral Reef without my BCV reservation number and it had to be the Disney #, not the DU# (which is the only one I have)

And THEN I hear (in a different voice) "if you would like to take our servey please stay on the line..." She hung up on me??????

Clarity, please before I blow a gasket?

Hmm. The only time I recall hearing "if you want to take our survey, please stay on the line" is before I talk to a person -- once the call is over, it tends not to say anything and if you just stay on the line, you end up getting the survey (if I remember to stay on the line -- LOL!) So, maybe she somehow accidentally dropped you back into the queue or something like that. I wouldn't be angry over it because, if something wrong did happen, it was likely an accident. It sounds like she did make the one reservation that she could make and explain why she couldn't make the others.

I would just contact DU and get from them the BCV reservation number that the ADR line needs, and then call back at the 180 day mark for those restaurants you want that don't allow you to make an ADR at the 180+10. I know House of Blues is in Downtown Disney, so not really at a resort or theme park, so it would make sense that it might not have the 180+10, but Coral Reef is at EPCOT, I think, so not sure why this wouldn't fall under the 180+10. Still, I do think some don't and you just call at the 180 day mark.

That said, unless you're doing the 180+10, I don't see why you'd need a reservation number anyway since anyone can call at the 180 day mark, even if they're staying off site.

Anyway, I think that what happened on the phone was likely just an accident and I recommend giving it the benefit of the doubt and just calling back. I hope you have a magical time once you're there! :goodvibes

I was planning on making our Coral Reef ressie at 180+10. Is this really impossible?

Anyone know for sure? That seems odd....:upsidedow

I think it's a case of an uninformed CM. House of Blues I can possibly see, but I've never heard of it before.

I'd try calling back to get a new CM. Just this morning I called in and made an ADR for Crystal Palace the CM (mistakenly) told me that gratuities are included at CP. I tried to correct her, but she as 'sure'.

Sorry you had a frustrating experience, I hope you get a helpful CM when you call back.

Hmm. I have made ADRs for Coral Reef twice in the past, and I always call at the 180 mark.:confused3
My 180 mark is coming up again, but we're staying concierge the night we want Coral Reef so they are making that ADR for me.
I kind of think it's a mistake on the CM's part on Coral Reef. HOB probably is 180 from the day you want to go there - most of the DTD restaurants are that way.

I talked to the family we are traveling with and she had no problem getting Coral Reef and without a resort reservation #. I wish there was some consistent training (or a frequently updated manual) so everyone was on the same page. It's soooooo frustrating!

Thanks for the info on HOB. I'll try there in a few days.
