I am planning a trip for July 19 - 28 (10 days) for just my husband and me. We recently hit our 180 mark and made some ADRs. My husband is a picky eater (meat and potatoes) and one of his favorite places to eat is 50's Prime Time for fried chicken. I am looking for feedback on our TS choices in case we missed some places that he might be willing to try but we didn't look at because they seemed "too exotic." Or, have we hit the mark with our choices? Side note, we are not utilizing the DDP. Thanks!

July 19 (Arrival)
Big River Grille (no ADRs here, but will try walk-up)
Via Napoli dinner

July 20
Garden Grill breakfast

July 21
Be Our Guest dinner

July 22
Tusker House breakfast
50's Prime Time dinner

July 23
Chefs de France lunch (husband gets the ham/cheese sandwich on the price fixe)

July 24
None

July 25

July 26
Liberty Tree lunch

July 27

July 28 (Departure)

I actually like all of your choices.

Have you checked the menus at allears?

I won't say my husband is picky, but we have different food interests which can be a challenge. I love yummy food and will try almost anything (including jellyfish in Chinatown in NYC)--but I can't quite bring myself to be like Anyhony Bourdain and the weird weird things he eats. But I am safe at almost any restaurant at WDW. My husband will pick a restaurant based on the beer menu. Lol.

So when I am booking, I will check menus at allears to see what options he will have. And sometimes I will show him the menu just to be safe.

For via Napoli--we both loved it, but were able to customize parts of the pizza so we each got what we wanted. (Large group so got the largest pizza.)

Where are you staying?

That always has a big impact on our ADRs because there are great restaurants in the resort areas.

We are staying at BWV. This is the main reason we are going to try to get into Big River a Grille on arrival day. We've never eaten there, so we thought we try it. At the very least, my husband can get a burger. If the wait is too long, we will probably head into Epcot for lunch.

Awesome - we just returned from a stay at BWV and loved it. When we were there we ended up walking over to Epcot very often to eat. Another thing to consider is Beaches and Cream.

Since it's an adult trip, I would consider trying to make it to some of the monorail resorts on those days where you don't have anything. Kona Cafe is reasonably priced and good since you are paying OPP. Same thing with the Wave at the Contemporary.

Coral Reef at Epcot. This place gets a lot of mixed reviews. We had a VERY good steak there last time. New York Strip Steak with mashed potatoes I think. Jack Daniels Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Good meal. (Meat & Potatoes).

If you don't mind spending a few bucks, the Yachtsman is a steak house so meat and potatoes there. Also Hollywood Brown Derby has a decent steak. I second Beaches and Cream, you can get a decent (but overpriced) hamburger there.

My husband loves meat. Ohana was his favorite restaurant (we didn't think the price for it was crazy either) during our stay. He also really liked Biergarten in Germany.....I could see someone who isn't willing to try traditional German foods not liking it tho.

We have many of those places on our list, too. Are you going to DSp at all...?

How about Sci Fi, Trattoria al Forno, and The Wave?

We will probably hit DS for a short time just to shop, maybe stop at a couple places for a drink, and maybe Ghiradhelli's for a sundae, but we have no plans to have a meal there.

To simplify what a picky eater I am, no seafood, and no veggies that don't grow fully underground except corn. I am basically the anti vegan.
