I have been digging through the 499+ pages that a "picky eater" search produces and I just want to make sure I have this right.

I can book my ADR in a few days and I'm with my family making choices. We do NOT having the DP because it's not fiscally smart for our party. I have very picky eaters compared to some of the menu options at their preferred locations.....

My understanding is:

As long as my ADR is NOT a buffet, my picky eaters can eat first and maybe purchase a dessert?
All Buffet ADR require the full charge regardless!

Please tell me if that is accurate.

I'm not sure what "eat first" means, but at places with standard menus (not fixed price meals or buffets), anyone can order whatever they want.

And yes, if you go to a buffet or fixed price meal, you will pay in full whether you eat anything at all or not, if you are age 3 or up.

Thank you for answering so quickly.

By eating first, I mean they will eat at a Quick Service location before our reservation and just order dessert. :)

We have a kiddo that doesn't eat much (tube fed) so we are choosing to avoid buffets. We are doing the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner (prix fixe), but they have mac and cheese - he still won't eat much, but that's OK by us. At all of the other locations, though, he can just pick a side or something else small if he isn't hungry.

At TS restaurants where you order from a menu, your picky eaters can eat as little as they wish and will only be charged for those items (e.g. just dessert).

Everyone at the table will be charged regardless of how little they eat or even if they don't eat anything at all at buffets, all you care to eat family style restaurants, the 3 dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue), fixed price meals (e.g. CRT, Akershus, Fantasmic! and Candlelight Processional dining packages), special events (e.g. Wishes Dessert Party, Star Wars breakfast and dinner) and anyone who eats from the family platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
