ADR is in someone elses name???

I have an issue, we are going in Sept and were going with another family.
Several of our ADR's were made for just my family of 4 some where made for all 8 of us.

I asked a while back what would happen to my ADR if the other family did not come and was told that it should not be a problem, they should still be able to seat us. Now is does look like they are going to have to cancel their trip and I just thought of another concern. 1 of the ADR's that is for all 8 of us is in my friends name. I don't recall them ever asking me for ID so can I just tell her not to cancel that one and when we show up give her nam, or would she be able to switch it to our name and only 4 people. It is Le Cellier so I really don't want to loose it.

Can she transfer it to your name?

I don't know if we can transfer to my name, I have not called to ask yet, was hoping someone here would have some advice. I stressed and stressed over these ADR's and we mostly chose to do our own, they have a younger child and wanted more flexability, but we did end up with some shared each. Also, I don't have a backup plan for that night, aside from doing a counter service, and I know that ADR's are hard to come by at most places already.


Any ideas anyone?

You can call and ask but it really shouldn't matter. Just tell them the other family's name when you check in. We've never been asked for ID proof or anything =)
