So I booked our trip after the 180 day mark (rookie mistake!) and am playing catchup on ADRs. We are doing 2 MK days - I have reservations at chef mickeys and BOG the first day and lunch at CP the second day. I am REALLY hoping for a CRT and have a touring plans reservation finder set up and am stalking the cancellation boards.

If I'm not able to snag a CRT, what restaurant at MK would you recommend? I have a 2 and 4 year old who love characters. Thanks in advance!!!

How about 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, for dinner it is Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Tremaines.

This sounds amazing! But I wish it was at MK - I don't want to cut my time there early if we haven't finished all we want to squeeze in!

I would probably just stick with quick service. It can be hard taking little ones to a lot of ADRs. But don't give up on CRT! If could happen.

You're probably right! Toddlers can only handle so much. Will keep trying for the CRT, but what are the best QS options?

I can understand that. I was just there 6 months ago with a four year old, I was also there when she was just shy of 3, and at 16 months old. Sometimes that monorail or boat ride and a short time away from the park can be a great break for a toddler or a cranky adult. You already have reservations at my preferred MK restaurants.

I know you specified MK places, and you have gotten great suggestions, but what about "ohana breakfast at the Poly. It is an all you can eat and they bring the food to you, much easier with a little one, and there is character interaction there. They do late breakfasts also so you could spend some time in the MK in the morning and then head over for a late breakfast (early lunch).

We are going in December. My plan was for Chef Mickey breakfast, swim/relax at hotel then head to MVMCP with a BOG dinner (at 7 - will try to get earlier). Then the next morning do light breakfast on the go to make it to rope drop, CP for lunch and the (fingers crossed) CRT for dinner. Now that they cancelled MSEP though maybe I won't need to stay at the park so late that night - I'll look into dinner at 1900 or Ohana as a backup to CRT

I know you did not ask, but I would cancel that BOG dinner. You are going to miss a lot of the party if your meal is not until 7 PM. I woudl not bank on getting seated in a timely manner, although you may get lucky, and then figure at least 60 to 90 minutes for dinner. At best, you will not be out until 8, and you could easily be stuck there til 9 if you cannot sit ontime.

Have to agree... If you are paying for the party, then you ought to enjoy that time and those special events.

I would do dinner befroe the Party begins, or plan on a quick service... but those can be crowded and more limited (some have closed early in the past) during a MVMCP.

Just know Ohana dinner does not have the characters that breakfast does.

You will be able to return after dinner and reenter the MK if you wish to "squeeze more in". Were you planning to do more rides after CRT?

You know you can enter MK as early as 4pm with your MVMCP ticket. I agree to cancel 7pm BOG dinner on your party night, it will take too much of your party time. I also agree to do 1900 dinner if you can't get CRT, but not 1900 breakfast. the Mad Hatter is too loud and it is too hyper. Ohana dinner is not a good idea, but Ohana breakfast some day would work. Dinner is loud, packed busy, late seating, and your kids are too young to enjoy it, especially after a couple days of being bombarded with constant stimulation.

Thanks everyone! I know, I have been trying to get the BOG for an earlier time! I may try to snag a CP at 4 of my MVMCP and then see if I can get BOG for the next day's dinner when we're at MK all day. Are there cons to CRT lunch vs dinner? Is an early CRT lunch and BOG dinner in same day too much? (Obviously theses are all hypotheical!)

We always do one day with 2 TS meals. I just spread them way out - generally a breakfast and dinner. I would say do a very early CRT (either PPO or 10AMish) then like a 6 or 7:00 dinner at BOG. When are you going to be there?

Will do MVMCP 12/9 and then back at MK all day 12/10.
