I see where Trail's End now allows for ADR's. Are they necessary, or can we just walk up and dine for evening dinner ? THANKS !

I haven't tried there dinner yet but when we were there in Dec, WOW what a wait for breakfast. I had never seen it so busy before. So if you know what day you plan on going, I would just call a few days ahead and see about an ADR. Just in case!

I would agree with the above post about calling, but we were there in Feb 06 and had both breakfast and dinner several times with no more than a five minuet wait without reservations. It is our favorite place to eat. Try the fried chicken.

We had breakfast there this past Friday morning around 8:00am and there was no wait. We hope to get that lucky this morning after DH gets back from the airport with his parents.

We walked up last year and waited for well over an hour. I think the only reason it wasn't 3 hours (even though there were empty tables!) is that my mother made a big nuisance of herself. I have never in my life seen more disorganization and out-of-control hostesses at a restaurant as I've seen at Trail's End the last few years. Every time we've gone there at dinnertime it's been a big mess. I'll make an ADR this year, but I'm still expecting a long wait. I hope others have had better luck than I have.
