Is it difficult to get an ADR for a party of about 11? Our family is traveling together the end of August and we would like to have at least one or two meals together. Just not sure if it will be more difficult or if we have to book a certain way due to the large group? :confused3

Probably depends on where you’re trying to get it. I got chef mickey’s for 25 on Christmas Eve 2 years ago, 6 months out. Ymmv

I do not think that it is difficult, but you may need to be creative. If I want an extremely popular restaurant I will ask my daughter to log in and book an ADR from her MDE account at 6 AM on our 180 days out. Teh account needs to be linked, but then you are good to go.

Yu shoudl be aware that no matter ine ADR for a large party or two, there is a chance you will not be seated together. It has happened to us when we were a party of 9. We have been seated together on numerous occasions when I needed to break our party into two. CM's always try to keep you together, but are not always successful.

We were a party of 12. My DD got a ADR at CP for lunch perhaps 3-4 months out. But the bad thing was we ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. We had two tables that were close to each other, not like shoved together to make one big table. Which was ok, but it just seemed odd that it took that long for two tables in the same area to be opened at the same tiime. We saw a million smaller parties (anywhere between 2 -8 people) seated before us.

My wife and I take our group of 10 just about every year. We are able to book all of our ADR’s on the MDE website with the exception of Via Napoli. With Via Napoli I have to book 5 and 5 or 6 and 4, I always try to checkin a little early and request we be allowed to sit together. More times than not we will be seated together. Good luck!

if the particular restaurant won't "let" you go to the number of people you need online, you will need to call if you want just one adr and not 2 (or more?) Our group ended up being 23, and we sat at 3 or 4 tables all near each other which worked out very well with the number of small children we had.

I had to book 2 group meals for 43 people over New Years :scared:. I was able to book Chef Mickey’s dinner (we had a whole section together, but individual tables, it was perfect!). I did this with two smaller reservations (20 & 23) 5 minutes apart on MDE and made a note that both parties were together. I also got us two long tables right in the center of the room at Hoop Dee Doo. Both reservations were booked in July, and everyone had a great time at both meals!!

We will have 4 adults, 2 teens and a 2yr old. So 7. but I am having difficulty getting reservations for7, but not 6. Was lookins at boathouse or Terralina for lunch or dinner on our non park day and wondering if I should call or book for 6 and add the 1 when we arrive ? Since she is in a high chair ? What do you recommend ?

Most often, the recommendation is to look for a table of 8 if you need 7. For some reason (probably because tables usually seat an even number of people) it's hard to find tables for 3, for 5, for 7, etc. If you book a table for 8 and show up with 7, there's no penalty. But if you book a table for 6 and show up with 7, even if one is in a high chair, you might be seated or you might be turned away.

And if you can't find a table for 8, then call. We had a party of 9 the week leading up to Christmas this year and had to make all but one of our reservations via the phone.

We dined with a group of 12 people a few weeks ago and really didn't have any problems. We had to call Disney to get BOG because the online system wouldn't let us book that many. But the dining was great when we got there and they seated us at two tables right next to each other.
