I will be making my first solo trip to the World the first week of December. I was just wondering is it necessary for me to make ADRs since it's just me? I know character meals it would probably be required but I'm wondering mostly about places like the Plaza Restaurant, Coral Reef, and Tony's.

Also can anyone recommend a good TS restaurant at Hollywood Studios?

Even a solo diner still occupies a table, so yes, you'll need ADRs.

I've had good meals at Mama Melroses at the Studios, and would certainly recommend it. :)

A solo person will need a table for two. And those can be hard to come by as I found out while trying to book places for two people. So yes, make your reservation.

Hey, I'll be there solo the first week of December too! If you see a solo diner reading a book, then it's probably me.

I always make ADR's when I go solo to WDW. This way I know I can dine where & when I want and not have to worry. Some places can be pretty tough to get in and I have been to other places where the restaurant is full and people are turned away.

I would especially make ADR's at EPCOT. With the Candlelight Processional going on from the Friday after Thanksgiving to New Years Eve, it's going to be tough to get a table, especially for dinner. One thing I have learned from CM's is that if a table is not available for a party of one, mention it's a party of 2. That seems to open up more for some reason. Several CM's told me to do this.

I would recommend the 50's Primetime Cafe at the Studios. This is a must for me on every trip. Have always had great food & service here.

If you would like any other solo tips, just let me know.
