We are planning a Family Vacation with 11 people. We have made all of our ADR's. We were told that our group would be split up into 2 or more tables. I have been to Disney many times we never had an issue before and I know they can sit 6 & 5 on one table. Can they not just slide the tables together. Has anybody gone with this amount of people?
How can we get seated together or atleast tables next to each other?

I am not experienced with a large party and adrs, but did you call the special line for groups over 10 people? If so then I am not sure why they would tell you that.
If you haven't then I would put in a call to DW and see if they can put this on your ressie.

Good luck, I am sure others will be along shortly.

We are a group of 11 as well but I booked in group of 2 (7 and 4) for easier ressies. I plan on asking at each restaurant to put us together. I know last year with out party of 8 it always said that we may be separated but we always spoke to the hostess and they accomodated us.

I am traveling with a party of 11 again in a couple of months. :) Yeah!

That being said, yes, there is always a chance that the party will be split up, BUT the CM's try as much as possible to keep parties together. Last time, we were not split up...there were times that we were at 2-3 different tables, but those tables were right next to each other, so it wasn't as though we were sitting apart. :)

407-WDW-DINE has to mention that you might be split up because that is the worst case scenario (just like the regular reservation line has to tell me that they have noted the special request for me to be on the 1st floor on the reservation and that the room cannot be guaranteed, and I am in an electric wheelchair and cannot be placed in a room upstairs at some of the resorts; it's just a formality that they have to inform me of, but has never been a problem for me).

The CMs try their best to bunch larger parties together, and at Hollywood and Vine buffet, they did bunch the tables together for us.

Good luck and bon appetit!

We just returned from our trip with 11 people. We sat at one big table for Teppan Edo and Tony's. At Sci Fi we sat in two side by side "cars". At Le Cellier we had 3 tables in a row against a wall. It felt like one big table. We didn't have any problems. Have a wonderful time!!!

Just try and keep a sense of humor with a party of that size. We were two families with kids who had different interests. It works out when you realize you don't have to do everything together.

We went earlier this year as a party of 11 and were given the same speech. However, at all but two places we were at tables pushed together so we were all seated together. The two that this did not happen at were of course Sci Fi (but we were seated in two cars side by side) and at Coral Reef (where we were seated at a booth for 5 right across the aisle from a table for 6). Every other place we were together. We did not have to request it at checkin nor did we wait any longer to be seated than we have for smaller sized parties.

I think they do the speech just to prepare everyone in case they can't do it but they do their absolute best to accommodate large groups.

Thanks for all the great responses. This helps with my grandma worring about who she was going to sit by since our party contains daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
