Sorry for the whine bomb. I was up and ready to go at 6am...was logged in, found a reservation or two that I wanted and the ap would not process the credit card. Or any card. I tried 5. We tried under both accounts, on desktop, phone, and app. Unable to process card error every time. Close to an hour I’ve been trying to secure a single res as they all disappear. I’m going to call at 7...and we’ll still be going to Disney so it’s not a total loss...but this is a little disappointing and frustrating.
 
If you're using the app try the browser. If you're on the browser try a different browser. Worst case scenario you can call in at 6 a.m. eastern. Good luck.

Thanks. We tried 2 browsers. Apps on two different phones. iPad, both browser and app. Visa, MasterCard, Amex - zilch.
I’m calling in a few, but I have to leave for work in 15 minutes. Le sigh.
 
Lols. I called the second the clock hit 7 and the queue is 45 minutes.
I can live on Mickey waffles and dole whip...but I did want something different on my birthday (flops on floor like a toddler) :donald:
 

I can never get the app to work properly. Have to use a PC don't get discouraged will be plenty of options left. I didn't book CRT or BoG till 3 weeks after our 180 :)
 
Yeah...I suspect I’m not alone. I’m not sure why I bothered trying because I knew it was going to boil my blood if things went wonky. I made all my reservations at my leisure last time and got plenty of good stuff! And things always open up later. We also had that hurricane come through last time, so we had a ton of great options last minute!
 
Oooo. I’ve never used that. I’ll look into it. Meanwhile, I’m continuing to get ready for work while on speakerphone hold (for which I’ll be late)...with a banjo on my knee.
 
So. Apparently it’s a system wide MasterCard problem. All 5 cards we tried- different accounts, all Masters. Had to pull out the emergency Amex. Only made 2 reservations - one at CA grill, the other at Ohana- both at cruddy times, but hoping something better will open up closer to the date. Donkey britches. So late for work! Took the survey and gave the cast member an excellent review.
 
Woops. Misspoke earlier- the Visa I had tried on the app that was saved to the account had been replaced, as had the AmEx.The various Mastercards (including our ATM/ debit cards) rejected both online and over the phone. My husband produced the updated emergency AmEx card...and that’s what finally worked. The problem is strictly with Mastercards (and operator error for not updating the saved cards). Facepalm.

Nothing to add to the thread about getting ADRs, but I think it's great that you took the time to give the CM a glowing review, even though it made you late(r) for work. Many people get frustrated when things don't go their way, so it's awesome to see someone appreciate good customer service, even when you still didn't get the reservations you really wanted. Nice people rock!
 
Maybe it's all the years I spent in retail, bars, waiting tables, and answering a ton of calls in an administrative capacity that makes me especially attuned...but I know what it is to deal with a frustrated customer/guest. And to do it so well before 8am.
I suppose karma is paying off because my second choice reservation (California Grill) for my birthday dinner that she made for me is nothing to sniff at...and, the more I start planning, the more excited I am! Turns out, since it will be a Mickey's Christmas Party night, our reservations will be right on time for the fireworks. <3
 
I had an issue the other day too. Kept saying card declined. I knew there was no way my card was declined but tried another card which then the error was could not verify account or something. I just kept on trying and eventually it went through with the original card on file. Very frustrating. Have a fantastic trip!
