Hi

I see lots of threads regarding ADRs.

We will be that last weekend in Sept to 9th Oct so if the free DDP follows 07 & now 08 this will be over.

Will we need to make ADR's or can we book via the hotel when we get there -obviously I wouldn't epect to get 1st choice and times etc.

I would book any charactor ones etc but for the rest do we need to. Sometimes we just decided we don't feel like a table servie meal and would hate to think I've got all these bookings made. I'm pretty casual about eating - it's no big deal.

What's everyones opinion???

I would always make at least a few ADR's.

we were there at the end of september/beginning october last year and would have struggled if we had not made ADR's - especially if you are looking to eat in the parks at all. the resort hotels werent to bad we could have got as few last minute bookings for the hotels but the parks were fully booked.

we tried to change a few that we had made and couldn't.

there were only 2 of us too which makes it easier, if there are more of you I would definately book some.

:goodvibes

Mke the ones you know you will want at a time you want and then if it doesn't suit when you are in WDW you can cancel :)

That's brilliant - it's really useful to know what it's like at that time of year.

Now I only have to wait 17 months less 180 days to book them! :rotfl:

With the exception of only a few, ADR's can be cancelled without penalty. We went in May last year which is relatively quiet, we were glad to have made the ADR's. From memory I think we cancelled two and rearranged a couple without any problem.

Last September we made some ADRs and would have had problems getting a table at quite a few places without them.

I would book ADR's, chances are there will be free dining again next September and I think you may find it hard to get in.
