Can you not make ADR's if you stay off WDW property? I have never, ever stayed off WDW property but we are thinking of doing this in July so that DS (special needs) can have a whole house to use and may feel more at home. DH thinks there are differnces in the ADR rules? I was shocked!!!! This may be the deciding factor as DS is not good waiting in line for long. Thanks.

You can still make ADRs. The only difference is that you can only book 180 days from each date your making an ADR for. You can't book 180 +10. When making the ADR, you can give them your phone number, instead of a reservation number. I hope this makes sense to you.

You don't need a hotel ressie to make an ADR...

I always use my phone # for my confirmations instead of my
reservation #.

Reserve away. There are no different rules for onsite guests versus off site guests. You will be asked what resort you are staying at. I always say "unfortunately, offsite".

Your husbadn owes you a dinner.
