I posted this on another thread, but thought I might get more answers with a new thread. My ADR date is coming up very soon and I am trying to figure out the best way to do it, but I am not even sure what my choices are. So here goes:
So far my choices seem to be:
1. on the phone at 7 am
2. on my iPad at 6 am on My Disney Experience app
3. on my iPad at 6 am on their website
(or 2 and 3 on my iPhone)
4. on my desktop at 6 am on their website

Any advice? Did I miss other choices? My iPad is new and my phone is a 4S, I think. (the last iPhone model to come out before the 5)
TIA for any help. I know their app is new and there may not be a lot of info right now on which is best, but maybe you can tell me which is worst! :)

Firstly, make sure you've gotten all signed into My Disney Experience. You don't want to end up having to register or anything like that when you're making your ADRs.

Personally, I would either use the website via a desktop or iPad at 6 am. I found both work and it's just a matter of what you prefer. For me, the desktop is a little easier to use, but the iPad wasn't bad.

I would not use the mobile/app site because it can't accept credit card numbers, so if you're making any reservations at a Signature, character meal, or dinner show, you'll be told to call.

Thanks for the advice. I tried to connect on iPad yesterday morning between 6 and 7 and kept getting an error message. I was just trying it out to see what would happen, using a made up date. Just tried again this morning and it seems to be better, but for Be Our Guest and other high demand restaurants, it is still saying to call. I have a feeling I will end up calling for that one. Will keep checking here to see how it's going for other people.

My "Day 180" was this past Wednesday. I was all registered and pre-listed all 10 people in my party. Was familiar with the website before my anointed day as I practiced using it.
Got up early and went online at 6am........both the new and old website would allow me to make only the reservation for the first day of our stay.....it would not even show what was available after that first day.

Waited until 7am and I called to find out the site was down and the CM could not assist me. Called back every half hour and finally around 8:30 I was able to make ADR's.

I booked Liberty Tree Tavern, Akershus, BOG, 'Ohana, Hoop Dee Doo, Ragland Road Pub & Tusker House breakfast. Got most of the times I wanted....around 6:00pm

Called back yesterday and again the system was down until around 11am. When I got through I was able to book Mama Melrose /Fantasmic.

I'm new at this so would appreciate comments on my choices.
As for the system.....lots of glitches both on the phone and online. You must have patience but I will say the CMs I spoke to were very helpful and accommodating.

I think it says to call when there are not times available when using the mobile site (at least that's what I've gotten in the past). When I call up the website (disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining) on the iPad, it's still the old site. Is that what you are seeing? I've found that with the iPad it usually helps to log-in first and then start making reservations (instead of the other way around). Either way, good luck!

Thanks all for your replies. I ended up calling around 7:30 am and pretty much got everything I wanted. (BoG, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Boma, Artist Point, Via Napoli, and Raglan Rd.) There were a few technical problems when it came to my family being able to view it on their My Disney Expeience app. I ended up going to MDE on my laptop and manually added them to each ADR and now it's all good. When I tried to do that on my iPad, it kept telling me I had a res for one! There is definitely some weirdness going on between mobile/iPad, and desktop or laptop. My list of ADRs on my laptop says breakfast at Trail's End at 10:50 am, but on my phone and iPad it says dinner!(all other info is correct so I am not worried)
I guess it is a work in progress. But it was a fairly painless process; I had an almost non-existent wait time on the phone, the CM was very helpful and friendly, and I got everything I wanted.

As far as I know, it's been 6 am online and 7 am by phone for a long time. I was prepared to make my BoG ADR for a later day in our trip if necessary. That's why I called instead of trying online. I had heard that the online My Disney Experience was not letting you do any dates beyond your 180 days (date of arrival) . My ADR date was a Sunday morning. Maybe that's why I got all my choices? Good luck!!
