I don't quite remember how it worked last time, but when you have a CC linked to MDX, and you provide the CM with your MDX login identifier, don't you get the option to use the credit card that's on file on your MDX profile, or do you need to give the CC info for the first ADR (the CM will copy it for all subsequent ADR made on the same call) ?
It would be a solution for OP, if her husband could register the CC before the call, but I don't remember if it's an option using the CC that's on file.
next, the major issue we have here is that UK bookings are sometimes gllitchy. Looks like many of those can't do the +10 ressies and need to call
of course, il OP could do them all online, there would be no issue at all using her husband's CC online.
I hadn't really thought that far tbh. The problem is we are sharing a 2 bed villa with my parents, so I am not sure how a credit card would work for their purchases too?
you will get a balance statement (you can request it at any time, just visit your concierge)
on that statement, every transaction will be listed, along with the guest who made that transaction. So it's easy to calculate just how much someone has spent.
And as a previous poster mentionnend, you can go to front desk to settle part of the bill in cash, credit, or gift card, anytime you want to. (your balance will be processed during the night before your checkout day)
Is it literally linked to your MB rather than your room?
it's linked to your room
since you mention a 2 bed, you're at a deluxe, so your limit will be $1500 for the room
IF you happen to exceed that limit, then your CC will be charged for the amount of your balance, and your balance will be reset to $0 with a full $1500 limit. And so on.
So if you don't want your CC to be charged, make sure you don't exceed the $1500 limit and settle your balance (or part of it) before reaching that limit.
MDE is not working for 180+10 bookings atm which is why I am asking about the CC on the phone.
cross fingers, it might actually work when it's your turn
