Haven't done ADR in a long time...used to be called PS when I did them. There is soo much information on this new setup (online or direct calling) that I am getting confused as to when to call. Our group is staying off site March 11 - March 16, 2010.
When is the first day I can call to make California Grill ressies for March 12th 2010? And should I call them in or make them online?

How many days out can you make ADR for resort ressies and how many days out can you make ADR for theme park ressies?

The part I am confused about is the numbers: 180 days out, 90 days out, and then 90 + 10?? Holy cow, it never used to be this confusing.
thanks for your help!!:worship:

The booking window is going from the current 90-days out to 180-days out, starting on October 27th. Since your stay is not until March, and the 12th is within the 180-day window of 10/27 you'll be able to call on 10/27 for that March 12th ADR.

Anyone planning stays from late April on will be able to cal 180 days out, but you fall in that in-between area affected by the policy change.

Good luck!

You can book CG on Oct. 27 for your March 2010 trip. I'd try it online as you can start booking at 6 am EST instead of waiting to call at 7.

The + 10 option is for on property resort guests. When your 90 days out from check in you can book adr's for up to 10 days. The 180 days will work the same I think, but you must be on property.

You'll need to scroll down a little but there is a link DIS updates at top of page with following:
ADR booking window extended
Effective October 27th, the booking window for advance dining reservations (ADR) will be extended to 180 days. Theme park hours will also be released 180 days in advance.

You will be able to call or do online ADRs 180 days prior to your arrival date. If you are staying onsite, you will be able to make ADRs at that -180 date for not only your first day but for +10 days into your stay.

The -90 days date for making ADRs is currently in place but will change to -180 days on Oct 27, 2009.

Thank you.....this is VERY helpful!! One more question, I read this on the Dining Page of this website:

* ADR booking window extended
Effective October 27th, the booking window for advance dining reservations (ADR) will be extended to 180 days. Theme park hours will also be released 180 days in advance.

* Online Dining Reservations
Guests may now book their advanced dining reservations online. Guests can book 90 days in advance. Starting 10/27/09 you will be able to book 180 days in advance. You will need to provide the names of everyone dining, also the ages of the children. Modifications will still need to be made by phone at 407-WDW-DINE. A credit card may be required to secure the reservation.

What does this mean? Does 10/27/09 have any significance to my ressies for 3/12/2010? Don't mean to sound like an idiot, but I really need to get the California Grill for my mother's 70th birthday celebration!! thank you

In your case, it means that you should make your ADRs on 10/27/2009. That will be less than 180 days from the day that you want.

Sorry, mad4themouse, I read your reply AFTER I posted. So, since I am staying Offsite, I cannot make ressies 180 days before. I need to wait until 90 days before?

10/27/2009 has significance in that this is the date that reservations are switching from 90 days out to 180 days out. If will affect you in the sense that everyone who has not yet been allowed to make reservations because they were more than 90 days out but will now be within the 180 day window(i.e. those going from late jan through april) will all be calling on this date to make their ressies. The fact that you are offsite means you cannot book 180 +10 days, but doesn't apply to you anyway since you will be well within the 180 day window.

If you are staying on property you can make your dinning reservations for the up to the first 10 days of your trip (90 or 180 days prior to your arrival date depending on when you are arriving. The # of days prior is changing soon to 180 days prior. Sorry did not effect my trip and I do not remember the date when the switch takes place.

You can make you ressies by phone or on line at that time. You provide your ressie # for the package and phone # associated and date of trip. You can look on line before and practice without actually doing a ressie. Just practice picking a resturant and selecting times and dates.

When you get to your actual date you would put in your res # and you should see your info come up and the calendar should allow you to book for 10 days. If you have problems just call in and do it over the phone

online opens 6 am eastern/phone 7 am

Sorry go interrupted in the middle of the post and was delayed this is now redunant info.

:goodvibes

have a wonderful trip.

No, you will also be able to make your ADRs at -180 days. Offsite guests just cannot do the +10. In your case, it makes no difference since your entire stay in within 180 days of 10/27/2009.
