ADR Computer Down...funny thing CM said about it!!

So I called to confirm ADR's for my trip that starts on Sunday...the CM (a DVC rep) said.....

"Sorry, I am unable to do that right now. We are having an upgrade challenge."

I said "You mean the computers are down?"

She said, "Yes" and laughed, I think at herself. I wasn't laughing after 18 minutes on hold!

The new ADR system seems to be down more than it is up and working these days. Don't see how this is an upgrade?! Seems like a downgrade to me.

The computer system seems to be down in general about 8am-9am CST daily. I know this because I was very undecided about what hotel and such to stay in and I changed dates a few times anyways long story short i ended up calling the reservation desk almost every day for a week between those hours and every day I was told the computer were down for "upgrading" and to call back in a hour. The last time I simply asked does this happen everyday and the CM was not thrilled with me and said no but I said everyday that I call this has been the case and she said "Oh." So now I am onto planning our actual trip and am seeing that the ADR system is experiencing the same "upgrade" issues. They need to get it together or do their upgrades during closed hours such as before 7am EST.

When I called to make our trip reservations the CM said that they were having computer enhancements and the system was slow (and finally the system crashed and I needed to call back.) Enhancements has to be said with the correct level of sarcasm.

You will be using the same system to make online ADRs, so I don't think it's going to be any better. At least now there is a person to tell you the system crashed rather than losing everything you put in all by yourself.
