We are less than a week away from our ADR at Chef Mickeys.
We have a large party of 10 but now 2 are backing out.
What should I do?

Do I call and tell them it's only 8?
Would they make me change the res now and thus lose my time and day?
(with 8 it would almost impossible to get the same time and day now)

If I don't what do they do?
Do they still charge for 10?

Would then still seat if if only 8 show and not all 10?

Just tell them 2 couldn't make it when you show up. They will not charge you for those people.

I think you should tell them, especially if they're putting tables together, now a party of 2 can eat there.:) They shouldn't have to cancel your reservation, I would think they can just change it from 10 to 8.

They don't change your reservation, they cancel and then make you new ones.

The only ones I would worry about changing are any that are guaranteed by a credit card - like the princess dining or the dinner shows. Those are the only ones that would charge for your 2 no shows.

Otherwise, just let the hostess know when they seat you.

They don't change your reservation, they cancel and then make you new ones.

That's what I'm afraid of. Since it's less than a week, I'm afraid we would be out of luck now.
