ADR Cancellations

What is everyone's experience with getting an ADR late when people cancel? We are going 11/24 for a week and I'm wondering the best time to check on places I can't get into? Would it be October when the remaining payment is due?
Would It be the same with getting into BBB?

Yes, definitely check in Oct. when the last payments are due, but also keep checking up until you leave (and even while you are there). We went during Jersey Week last year and did get two walk ups--one to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and one for 'Ohana for breakfast. I have had success in walking up at the beginning of the new meal time. It has even worked for Crystal Palace during Spring Break.

I agree with Juliebug. There will be a good number of cancellations at the 45 mark. You might also want to subscribe to the November ADR cancellation thread. Many dissers will post their cancellations between now and then, especially the hard to find ones.
