ADR Cancellation Policy?

I know there is a charge if you cancel within 24 hours, but does that hold true if you just change times? For example say you have a 8pm ADR and that am you check and see there is a 6:30pm ADR for the same restaurant, do you still get charged $10 per person for the 8pm ADR? Was just curious how close to the ADR do I have to fine the ideal time.

I think if you go to the restaurant and tell them the situation, they will adjust it. Also, try speaking to the concierge at the hotel, they made some adjustments for me last time and made sure there were no "no show fees" tacked on.
