ADR booking - try different size parties

Today I booked dining and tours for my trip in May and got everything I wanted (even Up Close with Rhinos!).
I wanted to share a tip. At 6am, when things opened up some things I wanted for a group of 2 showed no availability. When I changed to a group of 3, every time was available. This happened for example with Via Napoli and Ohana. No dinner availability for 2, but every single time available for 3 on the day I wanted. I booked for 3, then immediately modified it to 2, with no issue. So if you don’t see any availability, try booking for a larger group then immediately modifying down to your group size and it may work for you. Obviously this won’t work for places that charge like a tour but regular ADRs it worked well for me.

Thank you! I didn’t realize you could modify the party size to be smaller after you make the reservation and still keep your time. I had to book a reservation for 5 instead of 4 to get the time we needed and I was just able to go in and change it to 4. Now we don’t have to find a random stranger to join us for lunch! (I know we could have changed it at check in but I love having it be correct now)
