Our booking window opens soon and I have a few questions about booking ADRs. DW and I will be arriving a couple of days earlier than our two friends, their 2 y.o son and one set of grandparents. So 7 of us total.
1) Does the 2yo need to be listed on the number of people in the party when booking ADRs?
2) If I am booking in the park ADRs, do I have to have my tickets linked to my MDE account, or just my resort reservation?
3) If I cannot find a reservation for all 7 of us, am I able to book a reservation of 5, and then transfer that reservation to my friends and their family to use?
4) If I make a reservation for 7, and one or two decides not to go, do I have to forfeit the ADR?
5) What time does the online booking system allow you to start making ADRs at the 180 day mark?

Thanks!

1. Yes, even infants must be added to each reservation.
2. You do not need tickets on MDE linked at the time of booking ADR's. You can book any ADR without having tickets at the time of booking. But you do need valid park admission to get to those in-park ADR's.
3. You don't need to transfer anything. I booked an ADR on my account for a friend, and I wasn't going to the meal. She just checked in and used the name the adr was under. So you can keep it as is, and just have your friends go and check in under the name it is under.
4. You do not have to forfeit the ADR. We've had to book for 4 ppl and we were only 3, because that was all we could find. You can just simply tell them that there are 2 that won't be coming. Or you can try and change it, but that doesn't always work either. You will not be charged the $10 fee if less people go than are on the ADR. As long as at least 1 person shows up, you are good. There is a charge for $10/person for a complete no show.
5. Online booking opens up at 6am Eastern Time and if something happens where you have to call, the phones open up at 7am Eastern Time.

What is the purpose of this?? Not helpful

It was just a joke. When the OP originally posted, there was nothing but the first paragraph there, so it made no sense. I posted a non-sense reply.

Again...it was just a joke.

He is entirely correct. When I first tried posting my message, I accidentally submitted it without completing my thought. So his response at the time was just as helpful as my questions were clear.

If I am booking ADRs for all 7 people in my traveling party, do all 7 need to be linked as a Family or Friend in my MDE account in order to make the reservation for 7?

Thanks to all the helpful information and responses I have received I managed to get the two 7 person ADRs at BOG and Chef Mickey's that I was looking for in December.:cool1: Now I keep double checking my MDE account to make sure the reservations don't disappear!:surfweb:
