ADR Booking Priority - Advice Wanted

My wife and two adult kids (DS 26/DD 23) have a trip planned for 10/24 - 10/29 and our ADR window is coming up on 8/25. I'd like to get some feedback/advice on booking priorities for what we want to do. My guess as to the priority is below. Let me know your thoughts and best strategy to get the ADRs that we want. I'm assuming I need to be up and ready to go/logged in by about 5:45AM on 8/25. Can I use multiple laptops and the mobile app? For booking the fireworks cruise what time do the phone lines open? TIA!

#1 - 10/25 - Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets for 4

#2 - 10/28 - Rose & Crown Fireworks Package for 4 (or private fireworks cruise with dinner at the F&W booths)

#3 - 10/27 - Monsieur Paul (dinner for 2)

#4 - 10/26 - Shiki Sai (dinner for 4)

#5 - 10/25 - Sci-Fi (lunch for 4)

Some, actually most things, won’t be up at 5:45. It’s usually 6am ET. I don’t know about the dessert parties. I would be up before anyway, just in case.

Sci Fi doesn't have the biggest seating capacity so that may a little tricky to get.

A trick that has worked in the past is I bookmark the restaurant pages that I want a day or so before my reservation window. On the day of booking, log in at 5:45 AM and open up all your bookmarks and go get them!

The lady and I will be in Disney the same time as you so I hope we have good weather!!

Thanks for the input. I like the bookmarking idea - that should save some time. We've been to WDW several times in October and really like that time of year. We're also doing the MNSSHP on Tuesday of that week. Enjoy!

Based on my research I'm thinking that you're right about Rose & Crown. I think that ressie is similar to finding a unicorn based on what I've read! The dessert party is a high priority so will probably make that second. I wasn't sure about the popularity of Monsieur Paul since it's a bit pricey. My wife LOVES Sci-Fi for some reason (I like it but it's not a must do) so getting that one just makes the wife happy which is good. As for Shiki Sai, my kids are big fans of all things Japanese and my daughter is fluent in Japanese so that ressie would be nice. Thanks for the feedback.

We just did our ADRs on Saturday for Oct. and the R & C fireworks package has been released for your week. We got the 25th. I would make that a priority since it has already dropped.

I just checked and it's only showing dates up to 10/20. We're looking to dine on 10/28.

It’s only showing up to 10/20 because that’s 60 days from today and you’re not in your 60+ yet.

Rose and Crown in general isn't too difficult to get, but the fireworks viewing is only a few outdoor tables and sells out right away. I'm also assuming Shiki Sai will be tough since it's new, but Tokyo Dining wasn't too difficult to get. Monsieur Paul does fill up, but the price means it will be available for a few days. And Sci-Fi is easy enough to get the week before you travel and possibly the day before.

My only insights on your priorities are to agree that the Rosecand crown Fireworks Package will likely go fast, and in the last few years, Sci Fi was an ADR unicorn - you can’t find it. (Rose and Crown has food that appeals to many, and the fireworks viewing is a second motivator to book there.) We booked ADRs today, and I can confirm nothing opened at 5:45. Most things opened just a couple of minutes before 6. I would still be online around 5:45 just in case. The other thing: if the app/ADR system does not update with the new ADR pages before your window opens, I’d recommend going to the ADR Update Coming thread and grabbing the link to the new page. We used it today, and the process went so much better because you can see every single available time. Not once did we have to look at backup ADRs because the time did not work. Did my reservations today and everything opened at 6 instead of 5:45. I found the app to be so much easier than using the website so I might have to throw my old strategy out the window.

Got everything we wanted with no stress!

Thought I'd update everyone on my results since my ADR day was today. I was able to get every ADR except for the fireworks dessert party (Seats & Treats). That ADR must have gone IMMEDIATELY because I was refreshing right at 6:00am and it never came up. I ended up booking the pre-party since my daughter really wanted to experience the dessert party which should be good since we've never seen the full projections down Main Street anyway. Surprisingly, the Sci-Fi ADRs for 10/25 also disappeared in no time so I had to go with my back-up day of 10/28 which had lots of availability. I did notice that the mobile app seemed to update before the website.

Thankfully, I was able to get the Rose & Crown fireworks dining since that's my son's birthday and wanted something special to celebrate. Shiki Sai had good availability as did Monsieur Paul - at least when I was checking at the crack of dawn . Thanks to everyone who chimed in with advice - much appreciated.

Thought I'd update everyone on my results since my ADR day was today. I was able to get every ADR except for the fireworks dessert party (Seats & Treats).

They sometimes drop those later. So I would put an alert on it. Or just keep on checking
