We are going with another family and plan to hang out together most of the trip. When making our ADRs is it better to ask for 2 separate reservations for 4 or one for 8? If we made 2 separate reservations for 4, would they attempt to seat us together or would we always be seated separately? If we made a reservation for 8 and one family could not make a meal, would the other 4 people still be seated? What is the best way to handle this situation. I will probably book all the ADRs for the enitre group.

Last year I went with another family and made all my ADRs for my family. I then gave my "plan" to the other family and she called and got the same ressie places, except with different times. (They were only 5 to 15 minutes off.) When we arrived at our restaurants, we told them we were together and they ALWAYS sat us together. We must have had 6 ressies together.

Our trip was great and I felt better about us having different ressies just in case either one of us couldn't make it for some reason. (You just never know what can happen :) )

Hope this helps.
