Hi all

Can you just clarify something for me please?!

I called last Saturday on my 90 day mark and made my 10 days worth of ADR's, taking me to 12th May.

Now last year after doing the same thing I called each day after that to make the next meal of the trip (so I was still using the 90+10 rule as the meal was then 100 days from that date each day) so I had my two weeks worth of meals booked after the 4th day.

This year I didn't want to call each day so have waited 5 days to make sure all of my meals are within the 100 day (90+10) limit.

Just called to book and was told I can only book +10 days from my check in date, and the rest of the ADR's I can't make until it is 90 days from the actual meal, which means I can't book my last four dinners until next week. Which would be fair enough if a) I hadn't done it differently last year and b)if she hadnt told me in the next breath to call back tomorrow to make the ADR I want (which without the +10 ruleI shouldn't be able to make until Feb 11th!).

I am so confused! :confused3 Who is right please?! I can't face ringing from the UK again if I am going to be told I am wrong again!! If the CM was right, doesn't that mean we effectively lose our +10 day perk that we get for staying on site?

Sorry this is probably explained really badly!

I had exactly the same situation back in April when I was booking our October ADR's.

The CM just did not seem to get where I was coming from. I kept explaining to her that I understood the 180 plus 10 rule (as it was) but if I cannot keep calling to make my reservations as each day passes then I have no benefit than any other non-staying Disney Guest. :confused3

A supervisor eventually intercepted the call and authorised for my reservations to be made. The Supervisor apologised and explained that the majority of the CM's making the Dining reservations do so for US citizens/guests and very rarely deal with anyone needing to make reservations for over 1 week, hard to believe in my eyes:scratchin

It did happen one more time during my 10 day window of making ADR's and I simply rang back, got a diiferent CM and made the reservation.:sad2:

I phoned earlier last month and was told Disney Dining is now only bookable 90 days ahead unless you are staying on site then you get an extra 10 days. Any reservations that are more than the 90 + 10 days ahead, cannot be booked until the 90 + 10 days is reached. There are 3 exceptions being Victoria & Albert, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella Royal Table these can be booked 180 days ahead, to book phone 001 407 939 3463.
:cool1:

Thank you! Just called back and got a lovely cast member, who made all my last ADR's without even taking our reservation number at the hotel!!! These cast members crack me up!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: Still, got there in the end!

Hi

I just thought I would make an update on a previous post.

I just got off the phone from Disney and they insist that CRT is bookable 90 days in advance just like all of the other restaurants, not 180 days as suggested by an earlier poster.

how does this work for tour companys. I have a reservation for chef Mickey for 24 dec through virgin:confused3

Is that the one with the limo that you can book through their website? They take bookings quite a while in advance for that - I assume Disney guarantee them a set number of seats at each meal.

Probably not my place to say this, but I did this trip with them a few years ago (before I knew you could make your own ressies to dine with characters!:sad2: ) and it was a real let down. They dropped us off there really early (about 4.30) we had to hang around until it opened, then we were first in so there was very little atmosphere. We all from the limo (about 10 of us) had to sit at the same table so no private time. Just as the place was getting a bit busier it was time to leave, and we were then dumped at Downtown Disney for two hours. Dont get me wrong, the food is great and the characters did come towards the end, but if you have any way of booking and getting there yourself I would do that, and do it in your own time with just your friends / family.

Hope you don't mind me saying:flower3:

Hi thanks for this, But it was free with virgin for all four of us. My girls are older now 16 (a fews weeks away from 17) and 12 we are staying at a villa quite a bit away and the girls are way more exited about the limo than the meal. Unfortuneatly Mickey has suddenly this year just become a guy in a outfit. But a free meal is a free meal and I am hoping they will get a bit more disneyish when they are there. I would not have chosen this as they are realy a bit old but I sure they will be ok. Did you limo pick up other people on route. And why did it drop you back at dtd (I don't want to have to pay for a taxi back on Xmas eve it would be costly)

Ah well if its free its worth it!!

They dropped us at DTD and left us there for a couple of hours then took us back to the hotel - it was just part of the package (I think the trip is aimed at people who don't have cars who wouldn't get there otherwise maybe?).

Yes we picked up others on route, the limo was full so there was 10-12 of us. I assume its still the same as that - this was back in 2005.

It wasnt the nice sleek limo you are thinking of either - it was a massive Hummer one!

Just to clarify this for me!
The 90+10 for resort guests doesn't mean guests can book 100 days out instead of the 90, it just means you can book up to 10 days worth of reservations from your holidays 90 day mark?

Yes - you can book up to 10 days of ADRs from your check in date :thumbsup2

And can you ring up the day after for the 11th day?

IE, I'm ringing on 07/07 for reservations from 06/10 to 16/10.

Can I then ring on 08/07 for a meal on 17/10?

That's how I always understood it, this thread has confused me now lol.

YES, but it is highly likely that you will get a cast member who doesn't get that!! The key is to explain that the 90+10 rule applies from today's date, and so goes up each day. Half the time they think the +10 just applies from your check in date, and so doesn't increase. I finally got one who understood last night and booked the rest of my meals - I am booked up to May 16th!

Blimey! It might be easier and quicker just to hang up and ring back that have to explain all that! lol
