ADR 180 +10 Question?

Hi I've seen some people on the board write they make ADR 180 +10 days in advance, I was wondering how that is because I'm staying at a value resort and they told me today when I called that Dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance and that is regardless of whether you're staying in a resort or just visiting.

At 180 days you can make reservations for up to 10 days.

It's 180 days from the first day of your vacation. Once you are 180 days out from the first day, you can book for ALL of the days of your vacation (up to 10) hence the 180 + 10. To get harder to get Ressies (i.e. BOG) it's best to plan them for closer to the end of your vaca and book them first. Hope this makes sense

My mom booked our ADR's last trip so I wasn't sure how the + part of the 180 days worked.
