Tonight, for the first time ever, my head is spinning trying to plan our vacation. My ADR date is coming up and I’m trying to figure out what parks I’ll be in and what restaurants I’m going to try and book. Sure, I can make my dining reservations 60 days out, but what if the only time I can get an ILL$ conflicts what that time? and with Genie+ you only get next available which could also cause a timing issue. I can’t chose to cancel the dining because I’m too late and then the cancellation fee applies, and more than likely I can’t modify it because most places get booked and have no availability.
Has anyone had trouble with ride times/dining reservations not working out?
How do you handle that on the spot, rather than before you get there? with Fastpass+, I was able to make changes and search periodically for harder to get rides/restaurants and I had time to make adjustments to each day - somewhat guaranteeing a decent day, if not a great one.
How is this working for everyone right now? Maybe I’m overthinking this but on one hand you’re expected to be more spontaneous but if you want to eat you better plan 60 days out - those two aren’t mixing for me.
