Good Time Gathering Spot as part of Summer Nightastic.

I immediately thought of Teresa when I saw the "Good Times" sign!
I didn't know she had her own "spot" :cool1:
Was she there- did you see any glitter remnants on the ground? ;)

To be fair, that strategy only really works if you're there for 14 days.

It works well when the park hours are long- like in summer or at Christmastime. Even if you're only there for a week. It's hot (or horrifically crowded) and you really need the break.
But in the other months when the parks are all closed by 9:30, and it's less hot and crowded- you don't really need the break as much.

Aaron,

We plan on following the exact strategy you are using. Can you tell me if the mornings are very crowded? I'm hoping the extra magic hour mornings are a lot less crowded than the evenings this time of year. I totally agree it's much too hot to be out midday, especially in my case with 4 little ones. TIA
We just came from morning EMH at the Animal Kingdom. It was great. We walked on EE, Primevil Whirl and Dinosaur. We had a nice quiet brreakfast at Pizzafari. There was nobody in that place, I mean empty. We walked right up to the register at 9:30AM without waiting at all. We saw Festival of the Lion King and got a picture and autograph with Pocahontis, and Lilo & Stitch. We rode EE again with Fastpasses at 10:30AM. We did a little shopping and left the park around 11:30AM. As we were leaving hoards, I mean HOARDS of people were streaming into the park. If you can get up early it's definately the way to go. Morning EMH is definately a great Disney resort benefit. Evening EMH on the other hand, not so much; especially in June, July, and August. I would avoid the evening EMH park in the summer and visit another park. Although we've visited evening EMH parks. Sometimes you just can't help it.

Somewhat true. I certainly wouldn't do this strategy if we were only here 3 or 4 days. If you are planning a trip about a week or longer then this strategy works very well.

True, I guess. I dunno. I could go swimming anywhere. When I'm at Disney, I want to be at Disney.

Boy Aaron sure is doing a lot of pool hopping.

Hi Everyone -

We are headed out the door over to Disney's Boardwalk. We are going to attend 'Welcome Home Wednesday' a DVC event for members. I'll post photos and updates from the event. It typically lasts an hour. It's free to DVC members. They usually serve refreshments like chips and drinks.

Afterwards we are going to eat dinner at one of my favorite places; ESPN Club. We'll probably stroll over to EPCOT for the rest of the evening.

More to come! :)

We are enjoying SSR quite a bit. The Grandstand is a great section of the resort. I believe when the new Paddock's section pool and counter service food location is finished it will be very nice.

Cool, I didn't know about this :thumbsup2 Will be good to have an alternative to The Artists Palette.

We had a fab time at MK evening EMH but it's because it rained A LOT during Wishes and cleared out a lot of people - some rides were then closed for the evening though.

We've never made it to a WHW - hoping to do that and the Merry Member Mixer in Dec. It'll be good to see what it's like.

Thanks again for all the updates, it's so much fun to see what you are doing in real time :goodvibes (esp. when I'm stuck at work)

The best pool slide on property. The 200Ft long Keester Coaster. Very long with a lot of twists and turns. If it wasn't for the clown face it would be even better.

Time for the best burgers and fries on property (just my opinion). I love this place. Anyplace that has TVs in the bathrooms is a big thumbs up!

You don't like being spit up by a clown? ;) I agree - that's our favorite pool slide :thumbsup2

Missed your second part...Andy's favorite place to eat too, he's also lovin' the bathroom tv's. I think next time we're there Kim Anna Sarah and I will just leave you two at the BW. :)

That's okay because they have great bar here too. :)
