Nothing new here. Still waiting for a travel date and still going completely insane during the wait!!
Just wanted to check in to see if anyone had any news on anything...
Nothing here, obviously...lol...it's gonna be awhile...
I'm very happy for them. We missed getting our refferal by 2 days. They only did 5 days of refferals. 6 but one was a sunday and there are no LID's on sundays so really 5 days! We have thought all month that this was our month. I am a bit upset right now but we are surely next so I guess knowing that it is only another month should make me happy. I just need to regroup. I kind of feel like someone punched me.
How wonderful for your friend! I'm sure they won't sleep tonight in anticipation of tomorrow's picture!I know everyone here will celbrate with me. My friend and colleague got the call today at work that her little princess is waiting for her in China! Her daughter is only 6 months old and they will get her picture tomorrow when they meet with their adoption specialist. We are all so happy for them- it has been a long wait and they are so ready for their little one to come home!

Congrats!!!Woohoo!! We are travelling!! I actually went ahead and booked tickets late last week (figuring I could change them to stay later if needed), but just today got our official travel dates. Apparently I am an excellent guesser because the tickets I booked are perfect!!![]()
I am sooooo excited!
We leave this Thursday and fly into Rome, where we will meet up with my family (4 generations are over there on vacation) and spend a week in Tuscany. From there we will fly onto Addis Ababa and get to meet our son on June 24!!! I struggled with whether to include Italy too, but that trip has actually been planned for well over a year, was MY idea (so you can imagine how "thrilled" my relatives were when I was the one to back out), and I was the one who coordinated getting all 4 generations out there at the same time (to the town my grandparents are from and where their cousins etc, still live), the itinerary, etc, plus my family has been SOO amazingly supportive (my parents are even coming to Addis with us). So in the end we decided to do both. The fabulous part is Rome is the layover for Addis anyways so our travel agent was able to work it so we didn't pay any extra on our air tickets. Woohoo!!
Oh and the best part of all... Micah is legally and officially ours!!! For Ethiopia court takes place before travel, so he is 100% our little boy now!!!
