Does any one know if Disney will reserve and guarantee adjoining rooms if the my kids in the other room are under 18?

Thanks
Jack

They did for me. I was informed guaranteed connecting as my 3 kids are under 16. We can sleep with the interconnecting door open, so I cant foresee any safety problems.:D

I'm not sure, I just wanted to make sure you request the right thing -

Adjoining rooms are just next to each other, no connecting door.

Connecting rooms have a door that connects them.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that, as I didn't until recently!:sunny:

Thanks Gem You are right I would want the connecting rooms with the internal door to the kids room.

Any one else with experience in this subject?

Thanks
Jack

they will only guarentee it if there is one adult travelling with children.

We had connecting rooms at POFQ for our last Disney vacation. We faxed a request several days before arriving, it wasn't a problem. We were travelling off peak, so the resort wasn't even close to full, making it easier to accomodate us. When you call to make your reservation be sure your request is noted.
Enjoy your vacation!

You can request it and they will try very hard to make it happen, however it is not a guarantee unless as stated there is only one adult in the group.

Just make sure that the request for connecting rooms is your priority request. What happens with many is they request too many other things and it makes it impossible for them to find 2 rooms that connect that fit all the requests.

The information that came with our reservation confirmation says "guaranteed connecting rooms for families." My DH and I are both going with our three ds's.

Adjoining Rooms = Door
Adjacent Rooms = maybe yes, maybe no (depends on if they're adjoining ;))

I'm pretty sure that in the world of Disney resorts, "adjoining" rooms are just rooms that are next to each other. They aren't necessarily "connecting" rooms. If you want a door leading directly from one room to the other, the request must be for "connecting" rooms. Disney resorts don't use the term "adjacent" as far as I know.

When we went in mid-July this past year, we requested connecting rooms. The cm said no problem, but when we went to our rooms, they were not connected. We called the front desk, and without any problem, they moved us to connecting rooms. There were five adults in our party and one twelve year old. We may have just gotten lucky, but it didn't seem to be a problem.
