Does anyone know if there are adjoining rooms in the 50's building, lake view, not preferred.
70's building is the other choice

Thanks for your help

Yes, they have adjoining rooms in the 50's building. :) I would request them together sooner than later, though, if you are hoping for adjoining rooms. CM told us they couldn't guarantee adjoining rooms.

Do you want a connecting room, one with a door that allows passage between the rooms?

All rooms have an adjoining room, at least on one side.

All connecting rooms are adjoining.

Not all adjoining rooms are connected.

I think you mean connecting rooms. Connecting rooms have the inside door between them. Adjoining rooms are just rooms that are near each other.

And the CM you spoke with is right, they cannot guarantee connecting rooms. They try to give them out when asked for, but they are not guaranteed.

If that's the case then we will have to contact Disney as travel agent put in a request for adjoining rooms not connecting.
Just wondering,if two families arrive together what are the chances of being put in rooms right next to each other

The rooms are assigned days before you actually arrive. So it would be best to make your request ahead of time. They can sometimes make changes when you arrive, but not always to what you specifically want.

Are these two separate reservations? If so, Family A adds a request to be next to Family B. Family B adds a reservation request to be next to Family A.

Disney will not guarantee this, but it can't hurt to add the request.

I know this is not what you are asking for, but we had connecting rooms in 60s lakeview. We were two doors from preferred rooms and it was a great location.

Have your travel agent ask to have the two reservations noted with "traveling with" to link the two. Also, the more special requests you make (like a certain building or certain floor), the less likely you will get those special requests since they will first attempt to get you two rooms side by side.
