We will be staying at POP Century 10/1 - 10/9. My husband's Mom is traveling with us and will be staying in her own room. I have requested adjoining rooms for us but when I called last nite to make our final payment and inquire as to what notes they had in our room requests all they showed was non-smoking. I asked about adjoining and the agent said that they had our "gathering" ## noted and that was good enough. Should I call back and ask why they can't put in a request for "adjoining". I can see where sometimes people travel together and have "gathering ##" but don't necessarily want to be adjoining with the other party.

One other ??. She mentioned a request for Toy Story bldg. That was before we changed from ASMo to POP. I sure hope they don't see that request and think they are doing us a favor and move resorts on us. YIKES!!!

I would call back and ask that your request be noted on the reservation. Also, do you just want the two rooms next to each other or do you actually want them to have a connecting door? If you want the door between them, you need to request connecting rooms, not adjoining rooms.

call again :) Not every CM knows everything. I've called back before when I didn't get the answer I thought I should (not in a nasty way!) It's just that, like other companies, some CMs have been there a long time, and some are new. Most of them will go out of their way for you, from my experience, and take the time to explain things. Maybe adjoining rooms are automatic for Magical gatherings---but you'll feel better getting a definite answer.

I had the same question. My Mom will be traveling with us, but she doesn't like to be alone since my Dad died. We had to move her in with us. She'd feel a lot better knowing we were in the next room, just like at home. We were gone just for one night to take the kids to Sea world, and my Mom didn't go to sleep untial 4am! I wouldn't want a repeat of that at WDW.

My TA told me that when Disney assigns rooms & requests they do so in this manner:
1. Handicap/Health Issue Guests
2. Grand Gathering Guests
3. Everyone else

She also indicated that when they see a grand gathering group they automatically assign you adjoining or connecting rooms-that you do not need to request this.

If this info is not correct. . .somebody please tell me, because we leave in a few weeks! :cheer2:

We just returned from the Pop where we stayed for a week. We not only requested 2 rooms that connected but we asked that they be adjoined to a third room that was our friends. We did receive them. We were in the 70's building behind the mickey phone. The rooms were 6341-43, 42&43 connected. When I called to make the ressies I asked for this and then when I called 4 days before we arrived to order our tickets I made sure they had it noted. I think they try to help if they can.

Make sure if you want a door in the room it is called connecting rooms not adjoinging.

Have a great trip!!
