I just returned back from our first visit home to Hilton Head Island. While Hilton Head wasn't my cup of tea (not a beach or golf person) the resort itself was absolutely beautiful and the cast members were fantastic.

There was one cast member in particular, Sam, who really made our trip. He was "earning his ears" but went over and above any of our expectations. I was hoping that I could write someone to make sure he is recognized for his outstanding service. Any ideas where my letter would best be directed?

What department is Sam in? It would probably help to write to the manager of that area, as well. I have a few of the managers' names, and if it's an area I'm not familiar with, I think I can help find out for you.

Writing a letter like this is great -- so often the only time we think to contact a manager is with a complaint. You will brighten the day of several people!

He was in the recreation department. Our kayaking trip had to be canceled several times due to weather (not even remotely within Disney's control! ) and Sam went out of his way to make sure we weren't disappointed. Thanks for the information, if you have the name of the recreation manager that would be great too!

Sam is awesome! I saw him dive in twice fully clothed to rescue kids in the pool who had ventured too deep into the water.

When I emailed him with some commendations for CM's (including Sam) he replied and assured me that each CM mentioned would be recognized.

Sam is great. We were there this summer. The kids liked HH better then WDW. Chris and Gregger are the best too. The kids liked Cris and Gregger better then Micky.
