Addonitis VWL or AKV or both

We are adding on 100 points and trying to decide if we should add to our collection of VWL or AKV or a combo.

Currently we have 100 VWL, 50 HHI and 50 BCV. We will primarily be staying at VWL and SSR for WDW - the HHI points are strictly for HHI and we rally are not that in to BCV but have the points for fillers and if we want SAB for a day or so. We may want to venture to AKL for conceirge.

So do I buy 50 more VWL and make it 150 total VWL and 50 AKV or just 100 AKV which will give me a discount.

Decisions decisions decisions....

Any ideas?

I'd go with the 100 at AKV, simply to get the discount (does that take AKV points below the price of VWL?) and the booking window....Concierge is going to be VERY limited in availability. More points means you can book a 1 BR if that's all that's available....I'm assuming the stuidios will probably go the fastest.

Well I know you "fell in love" with VWL, do you have enough points to handle your trips there?
Personally I think you are going to need to own AKV to have any shot at getting conceirge, I'll just wait until the whole thing is built and try to twist DH's arm into to staying there in a savannah 2br(he really dislikes the location, way out there in his words).
How many nights and what type of room do you want at AKV?

Our home resort is SSR..We did an add-on there in March 2006 while visiting...Last week, while visiting WDW we did an add-on to AKV..
I say...go for the AKV...Being able to make ressies 11 mo out was a buying point for us...

Hmmm, how often are you going to want to stay at AK? If it is like every couple of years then I would do the 50/50. That way you have more for WLV and you could still get in a decent trip at AK every couple of years with banking/borrowing.

We are one of those strange families that want to not be stuck at one resort and would like to stay at them all. We love SSR and VWL and obviously HHI. Actually the only resort I have not really liked was BWV (noise).

I think 100 points is a better number than 50 - but still stressing.

We are like you in that we want to own a variety of "home resorts." I would see if 150 at WVL will give you what you usually will want in the way of an 11 month ressie, and if so, go for the 50 at AKV. But I would also calculate several ways you want to use your points at both so you don't end up short.

We bought 50 BCV and plan to bank and borrow most of the time, but found that for 50 points alone, we can do very little that suits our needs. We would came up 8 points short for a F&W weekend. Now, I could kick myself that I did not plan for that angle too.

I'd go for the variety, too! And we did- 150 at BWV to start, added 180 at VWL and then 200 at AKV. Hmmm... I just noticed our "add ons" keep getting larger and larger...
