If I need to buy 5 points from Disney's one-time program at my home resort, do I need to book that last night at 7 months out instead of 11? And if that's the case, anyone know the odds of getting VWL 12/23/12? Thanks.

7 months out, yes. borrowing is a much better option, if possible.

not too good. BLT has picked up some of the demand from VWL but VWL is still very popular around christmas time.

there's also the issue of potential changes in 2013's point charts causing a spike in demand for december 2012. won't know till the new charts come out...

Yes, the point purchase from Disney can only be done at 7 months.

Odds for getting 12/23 VWL then? I just know I wouldn't be counting on it but you never know. That's one I'd probably try and rent the night for or get a VWL owner to transfer points to you so you can book at 11 months.

I emailed them what resort & use years i need to rent points for so i could book 11 months out. they found a renter for me with in 24 hours the transaction was done. i paid 12 per point.
