If I recall correctly, I thought I heard that the points for a campsite will start at 6 per night and since FW has a seasonally adjusted pricing also, the number of points could be much more during certain seasons. With that in mind, if my thought process is valid, certain times of the year a campsite might be 18 points per night which would be equivalent to $180 if rented when the maximum actual cost is $89, not such a good deal. A value season campsite is $43 a night and with discounts we usually get it for $34 per night so at 6 points again and $10 per point it is still not cost effective for us.
Since we do have a motorhome and can only easily vacation on weekends, we have not been using our points to take advantage of our DVC purchase and therefore have given some thought to selling. I guess we could try the rental or point transfer option but not sure if that is what I want to do that either.
I was pleased to hear about the 10% discount too. Was this wishful thinking or did he also mention we (DVC owners) would be able to order DVC items on line soon?
