Additional FPs after first 3

We used FP+ for our trip last March, but they did not yet have the choice to obtain an additional FP after your first 3 are used or expired. So I'm wondering -- how successful have you been getting those additional FPs? Are any decent rides available by afternoon/evening? Are the kiosk lines long?

Thanks!

Experiences vary widely, and depend on time, crowds, park, and any number of other variables. Generally, "decent" attractions can still be found at MK for 4th FPs and beyond...the other 3 parks are more difficult.

We just came back. On Sunday, March 1st, we went to HS in the morning and used our 3 FP+ We went back to our resort and saw the concierge around 2:00pm. We asked them to check for FP+ in Epcot for Soarin or Test Track and nothing was left. On Monday in Epcot we used our 3 FP+ and didn't bother getting additional ones. We went onto Test Track using the single rider line instead. On Tuesday in MK, we used our three and then were able to get Buzz Lightyear, and then after that Jungle Cruise. We could have gotten another Space Mountain but it was too late in the day for us for the plans we had.

We were there during a supposed lower crowd level time. The lines for the kiosks in MK were not bad that day at all when we went to get our additional FP+. I can't imagine how it would be during busy times though.

If I have 3 Magic Bands linked to mine, do all of them have to be checked into the current park in order to get additional FPs? Or just mine?

not positive what you mean. There's a long thread with tips on how to use extra magic bands to get extra FPs, but it's a bit convoluted. If you have bands from other people in your party who aren't going into the park that day, it is possible, but against Disney's stated policy about tickets and entitlements being non-transferable.

But a MB doesn't have to be used at the park entrance to be used at a FP kiosk.

For example -- I leave my husband and kids resting at the hotel, while I go to the park a little earlier in the afternoon and try to get us an additional fastpass. I've read that you have to be IN the park where you are getting the FP, but will it matter that husband and kids are not actually in the park yet? Or can I use my magic band to go ahead and get FPs for all of us?

You can get FP for the rest of your party as long as they are linked to your account. They don't have to be there. I don't think you need their bands either but you can just to make sure ahead of time when there.

Oh, now I get it. As long as you're all linked in MDE, you have to be in the park to use the kiosk, but you only need your own band, you don't have to bring theirs; which is good so they can still unlock the room, charge things, go to a different park, etc.

Just saw this too. All should be OK as long as they are eligible for additional FPs.

I used 8 one day last May - 5 at MK (including the original 3) and 3 at AK.
