Thought I saw an ad on TV here in UK last night for an additional 20% off DLRP as well as the under 12 stay & play free offer.

I think it had a phone number with it - it was an own Disney ad, not from another travel company.

The prices appear to be the same on the DLRP website today as it was a few days ago.

Did I dream this? Did anyone else see this?

Any ideas where this offer could be found?

No, you didn't dream it lol. You have to book by the end of January to save 20%. I would imagine the phone number should be the same as their 'standard' number? 08448 008 898.

No - it not "just like you dream't it" (OK - doesn't actually work!).

Offer I had via email was:

Kids Under 12 - Stay, Play and Travel for free

Plus Book before January 31st 2009 and save an extra 20% on your Disney Hotel and Park Tickets.

Regards

Iain

I've just seen the ad again. The phone number is 08448 003 003 and it's for arrivals between Jan 4th and April 2nd (the joys of rewinding 'live' tv lol).

I think its like all other Disney offers though - subject to availability and on certain dates at certain hotels.

I've had a play with dates on the Disney site, some dates and hotels come up with the 20% off, some don't.

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2

Is there anywhere it specifies which hotels and which dates? Or is it just trial and error?

Hoping it might be relevant for our dates in Feb.

Hmmm..having just seen a post on another thread - is this extra 20% due to them not having a lot sheduled for the next couple of months.

If you believe the various forums (and some of this is confirmed) come early January Candleabration will come to an end (or at least in it's pre-Christmas form), as DLRP are suppose to start work on the Hub in preperation for the new stage they will install ready for the start of the "Mickey's Magical Party" events.

Second to that the "Legend of the Lion King" show will finally close with the end of the Christmas Season (although may return seasonly).

Add then to that there still is no parade in WDS until April, and a fairly busy refurb schedule in January affecting a fair number of attractions and you start to think if you were visiting in January that you'd been a little 'cheated'.

However - we are now nearly in December - you'd think that the majority of people going in the 1st three months of 2009 would have already booked - and thus these consideration would be too late.

I booked ages ago for our trip in January, so you can imagine my face when I saw the 20% off advert!:rotfl: However, although 20% sounds quite a lot, it seems it's only applicable to hotels and tickets, not transport. So (if my maths is right) a booking of hotel and tickets costing £300 would be a saving of £60. But then you'd have to add on transport too.

I wonder whether the credit crunch means that the bookings for Jan -March are down? It's not a good time to advertise 20% off, as we are 1 month away from Christmas, and if people couldn't afford it before, they would struggle more now! It's made me think about waiting until next November to book another trip in Jan 2010!

During its validity period, the offer is valid in 1 Disney hotel per arrival dates. This Hotel may change according to your booking date.
If this offer is not displayed on your requested hotel, please select another hotel or another date or contact us at 0844 8 008 898 to find out which Disney Hotel this offer applies to at time of booking.

Found this on Disney offers page

We just booked Cheyenne for early April and got the 20% off - saved £120 which was pretty cool! x

Hotel occupancy isn't a problem they have acheived 97% occupancy across all the hotels this year. They alway tend to do deals for January-March as there usually isn't much going on cmpared to the rest of the year. Also many business' use the conference centre in some of the hotels, so this pulls a fair bit of money in.

Just rang the booking line - for our dates. it is cheaper to go for the 3 nights for the price of 2 than the 20% off.

It was worth a try though! They were very helpful on the phone.

Now just need to convince my husband to commit to booking!
