Adding Whispering Canyon to itinerary

OK..I hadn't even heard of WC, but you all have made those milkshakes sound so good I just have to try them. How hard is it to get to this restaurant from the MK? Is it worth going if one is not staying at this resort? Also, should we plan on lunch...or can we just stop in for those milkshakes as a quick treat?

There is a boat that will take you from the MK to WL, look for it by the resort launch area past the monorail. It takes about 20 minutes or so to get there. You should plan on having lunch there. It isn't a place you can just stop in real quick to get a drink. Whispering Canyon is one of our favorite lunch stops.

Definitely schedule a meal here. We had dinner there twice during our last trip. The resort alone is worht the trip! We had no idea what to expect, just friends telling us it was a must do. Our fist waiter was a blast. Second time our server was a little dull, but we loved watching the other servers. Be sure to ask for KETCHUP!!! Have fun.....

We did this on our last trip and loved it! You will have a wonderful time. We took the boat from the MK over to the WL. It stopped at the Campgrounds first then went to the WL.

It was well worth the trip. Our server, Matthew, was so much fun! The foods is good also. Enjoy!

I've found out all I need to know about the food and the fun, but now I need to know about getting there. We will be spending the day at MGM, and have dinner PS's at 8:10. We are driving, so our cars will be in the MGM lot. Is it going to be best for us to drive them to Wilderness Lodge? If so, how long a trip is that? Or should we rely on a shuttle, which I have heard does run from MGM to WL? HELP!!!

Definitely make ADR's since the WL quick service is closed for refurb the WC will be more crowded than usual for a while.

WCC is a great place!! Very good food, you will definitely want to eat a meal there and very fun. The antics are great!

Here are some suggestions from All Ears Net when dining at WCC:

Wear a Hat or T-Shirt from Universal or Sea World
Ask your server where his 6-shooter is
Tell your server you spent the day at an attraction outside of WDW
Tell the server who's birthday or anniversary it is
Have your kids "egg him/her on"
Have one of the males in the group ask where the restrooms are
Challenge your server to a pistol fight and ask for a gun
Claim your straw is not long enough
Chew gum
Ask the server where you can buy some chewing gum in WDW
