How likely is it that I'll be able to add my parents to my ressie at Cape May buffet for dinner? It's not until August and I'm not sure if I should add them now and change my ressie when we're there or wait to see if they will be joining us for sure. Thanks!

Unless Cape May is packed, it shouldn't be a big problem. You'll likely have to wait some extra time as they sort out the tables though.

Best bet would be to make/check for reservations of the bigger party size between now and then. If you find one that works, book it and cancel your current. It's much easier to show up with less than to show up with more. Note that the cc-guarantee/penalty only applies if none of you show up. So partial parties (e.g. your parents deciding not to go) won't get you charged any extra (ideally...keep an eye on the accounts just the same!)

Change your ADR ahead of time to include them, if it is at all possible. It is always better to have too many people listed then too few.

Keep in mind Disney is under no obligation to seat any extra guests. They will if at all possible, because they won't turn away the money. But if they are booked solid and have no room, well, they have no room.
