Adding to Reservation at 7 Months

I have two contracts with the same UY at different resorts.

Can I do the following :

For example, I make a reservation at 11 months using all the points I have available from the one contract for December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

On May 1st, the 7th month point for December 1st, can I make a reservation for December 4th and consecutive days forward using my points from my other contract since I already have the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ; basically walking the days I need?

i can't say for sure but my guess would be that you'd have to wait until the 4th and then you'd be able to book up to 7 days at that point.

You must wait until the 4th - unless Dec 1-3 were also still available to essentially rebook at the 7 month window.

It will be two separate reservations since you used points from two resorts - one home at 11 months, one non-home at seven months. But you can get them linked.

Or just call MS and have them add to your reservation the extra days at seven months out from Dec 4.

You must wait until the 4th to add to that reservation with non-home resort points. You can't walk at 7 months with non-home resort points if the reservation you are extending was made with home resort points.

As mentioned, if the 1st, 2nd & 3rd is available at 7 months ( May 1), you can book the whole thing using a combination of non-home resort and home resort points.

As a follow up question, at the 7 month mark can I have points on the reservation from contract one (home resort) reallocated using points from contract two?

This would give me the ability to make another 11 month reservation using the first contract.

You cannot reallocate points at the 7 month mark from another contract when the first reservation was using the 11 month home resort advantage. You can reallocate the points if at the 7 month mark the original dates are still available for a 7 month reservation, because then you would be cancelling the first reservation and making a reservation for all the dates at the 7 month mark.

You've gotten the core answers but realize there are some nuances that one could potentially take advantage of. You could book with home resort points then, at the 7 month window, cancel that online and try to pick it up with 7 months points. This appears to be getting more difficult to do but it is still possible. Or you can wait list and swap it over later, possibly day by day. OR just wait list the additional days needed when the 7 month window opens. How you wait list does dramatically impact your chances of success though in this case it appears you only need one day, the easiest to get. Another option, if you have enough points, is to book a full week 7 months out such that the last day(s) of the reservation are what you need then later cancel the days you don't need.
