We have a trip planned later in the year. My granddaughter is 2 years old now (so she does not have a ticket yet) but will be 3 years old when we go on the trip. The system will not let me make a park reservation for her because right now she is 2 years old. How and when will I be able to add her. her 3 year old birthday is a couple of days before we leave for the trip(Hopefully) TIA

Tickets for 2020 go on sale, "later this summer." Nobody really knows when at this point.

When they do go on sale, you just purchase hers and make her park reservation through MDE...as long as there is still availability.

If there is no Park availability then the reservation for the rest of the party are no good? We cannot leave a 3 year old on her own at the hotel? Can MS just add her,as she is on the room reservation?

We are in the same boat. Son turned 3 this year and the rest of us are AP. Didn't make sense to get him an AP so we were going to purchase tickets later. Disney simply cant help us right now. Once 2020 tickets sales open up we can add a ticket. They are saying that will be "late summer" right now.

For those dates where he didn't have a ticket we created another group and grabbed park reservations for those of us with APs. That way when ticket sales do open we have to get reservations for one person not four.

Only guests 3+ are required to have a park reservation with their ticket. Younger ones who are entering free with adults will not need a park reservation. And they will not require you to prove her age, so you should be fine. Just don't have her enter by scanning with a magic band that pulls up her info on MDE. None of my clients have ever been questioned in bringing in their toddlers (via stroller) who are barely 3.
