Adding Tickets and Dining - How?

I have another question for all of you.

We are not DVC owners, we have received a trade through II. I want to know if there is anything special we need to do to add tickets and the dining plan to our reservation?

1. Do the tickets become part of the room reservation? Or do we just buy tickets? The MYW tickets I mean. Do we have to get tickets for every day of our stay? We plan to take one day to go to Universal.

2. The dining plan is based on how many nights you are staying so I assume they are tied to your room. How do we purchase this? Do we just call the DVC number on our confirmation for this? How far ahead do you have to buy the dining plan? Can you omit days from this also, or does it have to be for every day you are there?

There is no requirement to buy tickets. You may purchase them in advance (anywhere you like) for any number of days. You may also puchase them at check in if you prefer to do that.

If you choose to add the Dining Plan, it must be for everyone in your party and for the entire length of your stay. Since you exchanged in, I assume you have a 7 mnight stay, so you would need to buy the DP for 7 nights or not at all. Just call the DVC number on your confirmation to add the Dining Plan. You need to do that at least 48 hours in advance and you pay for the plan at check in.

If you think you still want to buy the Dining plan and want to go off Disney for a day you could always use that days credit for a signature meal which takes two credits anyways , like my fav Yachtsman Steakhouse .

When are you traveling? Dining plan is not available to DVC members until travel after April 1st. Boston makes a good suggestion though, because you get a total number of meals & you can allocate them as you choose.

Remember you have to add the DP prior to arrival. Call DVC at the number on your confirmation, you can do so when you pay the extra $95 fee which must be paid 48 hrs prior to arrival. The DP must be for the length of your reservation for an II stay, 7 days, even if you plan to stay for less. And all must be included for the group, as others have said. You can add tickets at check in if you wish, no discounts for members in this regard. But remember that it's not uncommon with Disney to get different answers, the YMMV idea. So it never hurts to ask for a better option when the situation arises, Disney is nothing if not inconsistent.
